Storm win it in OT. May be enough the way some of the groups have gone but from 2-0 up and then 3-2 up in the third, it’s disappointing.

A salutory lesson in taking penalty after penalty. If we’d have stayed out of the box tonight it would most likely have been a regulation win.

To be fair, Storm have managed one powerplay goal all season before tonight (and that was in Fife while already trailing 7-0) so taking penalties not necessarily a bad tactical play... 😂

Short of bodies in a terrible rink against a team suited to it, I’ll take a point. IF we win our final CC game in regulation we top the group so nothing to fear yet, just a frustrating performance after starting well. Move on from this, hopefully get a few more bodies back for the weekend and get back to winning ways!

Good point 3 men down.. move on . Sounded like a homer ref as well. Wonder if Rich will have anything to say

Good point 3 men down.. move on . Sounded like a homer ref as well. Wonder if Rich will have anything to say Though we had 12 of permitted 14 imports due to Vankleef being in the line up. Hazledine named also, so only two down of the 22.

Tyler Vancleef is a brit OK but we have to change our stats on the suspension/injury count then in 'fixtures thread'? 20 players tonight on the sheet and a max of 22 allowed.....three imports out presently of Biggs,Hughes and Rheault.

When you play physical you run the risk. Sounds like dodgy reffing tbh. Who is ref? Liam Sewell and Chris Wells The sooner Sewell heads back to the ECHL the better.

Vankleef isn't a Brit in league terms, he just has a dual passport.

Disappointed that we struggle to hold a lead again. Storm is a tough place to go but if you want to be winning league titles when your 2 goals up you have to try see the game out.
For Storm second goal surely that was netminder interference? The last one time you see the puck from that camera angle was under Garnetts arm so surely the play should have stopped if you can't see the puck. Storm then has a last chop and manages to get the puck in the net. You can see Garnett complaining afterwards.
Oh well we move on, as the Steelers game, glad it was the CC and not league.

Vankleef isn't a Brit in league terms, he just has a dual passport. So where then do Brendan Brooks and Brandon Whistle fit in then as they both have dual passports and were not in the junior system as far as I can see. Yet if you count them as an import then Steelers played 15 Imports? We really need some clarity from someone. Jackson Whistle played as a Brit in Belfast so I assume they classed him as junior trained. Anyone know for certain? That does not mean his brother was! Still confused!

Brooks is an import. With the younger Whistle I'd assume he was first registered over here while his father was over here back in the day, same with Jackson, and that it just doesn't show on their EP résumés.
I agree though that the league should have published lists of which players count as each of the 3 types (import, Brit trained and U23 Brit trained). But there's a lot of stuff the league should do.

They did review the second Storm goal, as well as the final goal (possibly batted in by a high stick),unfortunately these views are not shown on the highlights.

Any reason why some fans are blaming Garnett and saying he's playing like the end of last season??
Most of your fans also said he's number one goalie better than bowns etc.
Surely that don't change after a few games??
When you lost to steelers it was steve Lee's fault lol

When you lost to steelers it was steve Lee's fault lol Garnett has a very unorthodox style in net. He often makes bullets of shots look like the simplest of saves, and then makes some of the softer shots look unstoppable. I think he's a very good goalie, but we have to have a decent defence in front of him who aren't blowing like the wind due to all the penalties we're taking. Our physical play seems to either kill us or win us the games. Penalties are either called like they're going out of fashion or the game is left to flow. Discipline and probably naivety is our biggest problem in my opinion.

May well be but since that loss he has only conceded 5 goals in 3 games. Garnett concede 9. Losing 2 of them. Bowns winning all of his.
