There was a picture of Gagnon about a week ago with a certain Gui Lepine as they had been training together. Personally I don't think he fits in with what we need. Unless we are carrying a spare. Gagnon like Lindhagen can play forward & D so you never know.....

With nearly a PPG in the ECHL, I’d be pleased if it was McNally.

I enjoyed Gagnon whilst he was here but we've upgraded significantly in my opinion. No disrespect to Gagnon. I like him and would possibly like to see him back in the future but this coming season wouldn't be right. He doesn't fit. We need a good offensive defenceman.

Not what we need IMO, I liked Gagnon, but this D at the minute is missing the stud signing. For me, we haven't replaced Sauve's points production yet. We need someone that will come in and run the PP and contribute offensively, we need someone who will offer us around 0.75+PPG. Billingsley put up 0.4ppg and Lee offered around 0.2pts per game, Hughes contributed less than 0.3ppg in the ECHL and Olsen is around 0.45ppg (i'd say they have covered the points Brisbois/Lindhargen/Mosey and Spang contributed from D) Lepine has effectively replaced Gagnon at the back defensively (I hope).

It's interesting to note that McNally & Luke Pither have almost identical points per game in both the Echl & the allsvenskan (yes I know one is a forward and one is a d man). Intact goals per game ratio Pither & McNally are pretty much the same....

Sauve and Olsen have comparable numbers in echl and ahl. If we have a high scoring dman imminent then we should have more

Jaynen Rissling
His scoring numbers are pretty good if not spectacular. Not blown away but not too disappointed. Another big body which is definitely a trait that Chernomaz seems to value. Still quite young so could still get better.

Agree. We look massive but severely lacking in skill/ goals.

Bit of a physical monster more than anything once again. Hope to see strong offence from him though.
He was projected to be a 3rd D-Pairing player in the NHL. Likes to hit, likes to fight, has strong leadership qualities.

Panthers this year are huge, must be the biggest team in the league by far.

A monster at 6’4’’ and another player who can fight, it looks like we’re going to be a physical and intimidating team, I just hope we are going to have the skill and speed to compliment it. Welcome to Nottingham though Jaynen.

We must be going for the record of biggest team in EIHL history.
This guy looks ok. In an ideal world i would have wanted someone in the Hotham mold. But Rissling should be able to contribute a fair bit.
Our defense is huge. Teams wont have it easy in our zone.
A lot hinges on our last forward for me. It needs to be a guy who will be pushing the top of the league scoring charts. Otherwise we'll be short of goals.

www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/jaynen-rissling/De Ja vu it's 2002/03 all over again. Best way to mould his stats is that in last 2 seasons in Echl he averages near 0.5 points a game.... We do seem to be lacking in goals on D. Though the game isn't played on paper. Truth will be told when we hit the ice in anger for the 1st time.... Has fought quite a lot of EIHL/ex EIHL guys..... Justin Sawyer, Kevin Harvey, Harrison Rupp, Jacob Doty to name a few..

I think regardless of who we sign for that place we will be short of goals, unless we have two forwards incoming who are studs and we are planning to carry a spare.

I agree that i think we'll be on the lower end of what i consider enough to win the league. But if our last guy is good for 25 goals it'll be passable. Plus our defense looks very good to me, so we might get away with it. If he not a top signing though i think its an issue. Either way though we should be fun to watch.

The article on the website states we have 1 signing left to complete the roster. I read that to say we wont be starting with a spare.

Just a thought. If we a have a D that doesnt concede many goals, then possibly we might not need as many goals scored as you all think. We might win every game 1-0 or 2-1

Even if most of them have actually been in the back of our net than the opposition's in recent years....

The more I think about our roster the more worried I get that the new coach has totally misjudged the league. Obviously hope I’m wrong and that we win the league.

So we have players who can check, clear the crease, difficult to move off the puck and look to be quick.
I’m looking forward to seeing this team play. I might even enjoy watching hockey in Nottingham again.
If we win the league, great, if we don’t and I have fun watching a team play with out fear and enjoy themselves, that will do me for a first year with a new coach.

Panthers fans: we keep doing the same thing every year. We need change
New coach comes in: this is not like it was before, he’s got it wrong.
I literally don’t know what will happen this season but let’s actually have a few games of hockey before we write this team off!
