Saw on twitter that Liam is off to the US today to take part in the NHL combine and then the draft. Good luck to the lad, I hope he does well and that one of the teams takes a chance on him.

Well done, Liam! Doing British ice hockey proud... Good for Liam. Good for British ice hockey. And for those who don't care about the latter... it means he's not going to be playing for the Steelers any time soon, so good for us!

I don’t want to put a dampener on Liam’s achievement and I know he’s got time to grow, but you’d think at this point he would have had more of an impact for Sheffield if he has the ability some people believe he does. In reality he’s been a depth player for Sheffield this last season, he’s been given the ice time with Sheffield’s more established players and he’s done ok. I don’t know if I’m being harsh but does it warrant it?

According to the Dogs report on it, he had the most points by an under-18 in EIHL history. He's been a teenager playing in a men's league. Had a very good junior world champs and didn't look out of place playing for GB seniors. Worth a punt with a low pick.
The vast majority of all draftees won't make it, but they've at least got a shot at it. See how he develops in the CHL, assuming he gets drafted to that too.
Absolutely no surprise to anyone to see Captain Negative reporting for duty on here. Take a holiday.

Assuming he piles on the muscle over summer I think he'll be a complete different player. He's got good height already and with muscle he should be even more confident and capable with the puck. Really hope he plays in the CHL for the coming seasons. Nothing to say he won't be offered try outs with Tucson or Fort Wayne when he hits 20 years old, assuming Arizona haven't signed him. Really bright stuff ahead. Additionally, got Sam Duggan and Cade Neilson attending tryouts for the USHL at the moment. I believe Cade is likely to end up in the NAHL though by the sounds of things, the second tier of juniors in the US. Great stuff for GB.

Some good points, I suppose for Kirk it’s beneficial that he’s got an opportunity to be involved with the right people who can guide him and give him a better understanding of the game, better than Thompson can offer anyway😂

Had he been on a REGULAR line all season, he would have been top scorer! Watch now for Kieran Brown because he will score for fun IF given a regular shift and could overhaul Kirk.

If Kirk was that good why didn’t Thompson play him more. Kirk’s EIHL numbers last season were only pretty similar Ollie Betteridge. 🤔

His numbers were better than Ollie's in fewer games, including more goals. Plus he's 4 years Ollie's junior.

But Ollie does play on a checking line rather than a scoring line,I doubt whether Kirk did. Judging by all the hype though you would have thought Kirk’s EIHL numbers should be way better if he is as good as the Sheffield PR machine says. Not knocking the lad,I hope he does well and good luck to him.
