Oh well if you know better... If course we could do the maths. I know a better way..... ! Could someone with an IHNR upload a photo from a match report of the attendance figures. I'd have to go in the loft. ๐ No need! You're wrong.

The i think I remember the official figures used....
Blocks 1 2 3 4 8 9 10 & 11...
Rows A to T 25 to 30 seats a row...
So that's 18 x 25 = 3600 Or 18 x 30 = 4320
The official figures never made any sense to me at the time, but I figured it was just a tax dodge.

Have the Newcastle Riverkings last game there to hand and the report for the play off game 4 days earlier against Bracknell says attendance was 2,420.

I'm sure you'll be shocked to find out that at no point during Wednesday's game did the number of tickets scanned into the arena hit 2999, not even close.

How can you trust an organisation that feel the need to lie about something so banal? No honesty, no integrity, no pride. Sick of the whole sorry set up.

If Moran came in soaking wet through and said it was raining outside I would have to go check it. ๐

Blimey that's only 3 rows less than the 21 there are in the NIC. I didn't realise LPS was almost as big as the fabulous NIC!

Probably explains why it was a lot noisier at LPS than NIC.

On 18th July 2017 I posted the following: โSpot on, this is really looking like a squad with real potential, I for one am looking forward to this season big time.โ
The squad looked good, they performed well early on, with stunning performances in the CHL, then as time moved on they all had their talent slowly but surely coached out of them. As long as Corey is coach โNottingham is Nottinghamโ and weโre stuffed - period!
It is for this reason I no longer give them any more of my money, but willing would do so again as soon as we have major changes in the coaching and upper management positions.
ps) I feel I should say that Corey has been a great coach, but has simply stayed here too long, he is stale and it shows, sad but the truth.

It's quite clear Neilson cannot motivate himself for the league,so how can the players be motivated. The CHL is different, nobody needs motivating for those big games, but once Corey has done his stuff on the team for a few weeks and coached the flair or skill out of them it's game over every season. The same thing has happened far too often for it to be coincidence, bad luck, injury woes or whatever other excuse Neilson dreams up.
Time is up Corey, you need to go !

Listening to the interview tonight on Zynomix Iโd say everyone is lacking motivation. Moran even forgot to say โgood seats still available folksโ and if heโs forgetting the bottom line you know the despondency is running through the club. It might just be me but I think itโs starting to dawn on Moran that he might have to sack Corey soon.

Do you think it might dawn on Black to sack Moran?

Neil Black, sack Moran. Iโm sure you could employ another person to make you bundles but with a more pleasant demeanour.

Organisation needs a coaching change in the summer; coaches can stay at a team for too long & I think Neilson has taken this team as far as he can.

We desperately need a change of coach, because it's just stale on that front. But it needs at least two other things too.
1. A change in mentality throughout the club,a change to a winning mentality. I thought we had gone some way to achieving that in the Bruce Richardson years,it was coming slowly as his influence rubbed off on others, but it didn't last long and we're now back to that lazy do just enough to get by,turn up when we feel like it mentality.
2. I think we need to simply spend more money on players,to counter what I believe Corey means by his "Nottingham is Nottingham" quote. In Nottingham we are envied on some counts just as the big teams are in football and it fires the smaller teams up. They must love coming to play in Nottingham compared to some of the other poor arenas they have to play in around the league. It fires them up,nice arena, big crowd, they want to knock the "glamour boys" off their perch,it fires them up and they play extra hard because it's their cup final. Our boys on the other hand,at home it's just another game, after being pampered, preened and well fed etc in cushy old Nottingham, what must our guys think when they pitch up in Edinburgh,Manchester, Dundee,Coventry or wherever ? They're probably about as enthused as Manchester United players if they drew Mansfield away in the FA Cup. If that happened on a one off basis, the big team usually wins because of their player quality, the skill usually wins out,but if that kind of game happened on a regular basis and that gulf in class wasn't so big, then the little team would win more regularly. In essence,I believe playing where we do is a disadvantage to Panthers, unless we try and counter it somehow, which at present we simply don't do. And the only way we can counter it is by having higher quality players than other teams, players who still have to work hard, but who's class will offset our disadvantage. To get that higher quality player.....we need to spend more, the difference in quality needs to be wider than it is.
And that's only an on ice thing. We won't even go into the well known issue of players knowing what they face behind the scenes in Nottingham. It's not a good selling point, when a player says something like "yeah I'm interested in the EIHL but in doing my research I've heard from lots of places that the GM in Nottingham is a miserable old git and the owner isn't great either". Again,to counter it probably comes down to paying extra money to offset that players concerns....or he's going to end up somewhere else.

The whole ethos of the club is just wrong but I can't see that changing.
