Starting behind the bench.. after all he signed them and is paid to motivate them.. oh hang on That’s your answer to everything, all the time.

Absolute garbage. Tells it’s own story when the best player on the ice is a goalie who shipped six goals. Shalla, Derlago and Suave need outing for me. Shalla and Sauve in particular have been totally disinterested since the CHL. Clarke is a spent force and Steve Lee tonight was shocking. The bloke’s the captain but he can’t even do the basics. Seemed to be on the ice for every one of Belfast’s goals and I lost count of how many times he gave the puck straight to the opposition. Perhaps the most worrrying thing however is that teams seem to have worked us out. Fife, Cardiff and Belfast all held a high defensive line and we struggled to get good possession in their zone because of it. The lack of a plan B was, frankly embarrassing.

These players beat the likes of Turku and bern! There's no energy, no urgency, no motivation. Who's job is that? COREY NEILSON! earn your bloody money Corey. Year in year out same problem, decent quality players that he can't motivate, the games evolved, moved forward , and it doesn't seem like Corey has I cant agree more. Some story each year - we ALMOST at the top before Dec, comes Dec we sink. What is CN up to??!!!!

Someone needs to check that league laser thing we bought. It's either been turned off by mistake or needs refocusing or something.

I’m trying to think of a word that describes something which is worse than “abysmal” ? Can anybody think of one !! Can I use 3? We were terrible, although Garnett was very good despite the score, some incredible stops. It could've been double figures. Belfast were excellent, despite Whistle having butter fingers. Sylvestre was top quality all night, getting Rutherford back was a great move by Keefe. They had better ideas than us, executed miles better than us and worked harder than us. We've been playing a bit like we've read our own press and believed every word. Too many "we know how good we can be" interviews, not enough actually being as good as you can be. Still in a good position, but needs action rather than words, and quick. Although he had a bad night at the office, I wouldn't be looking to move Bussieres anywhere. I think he's really good. I don't however understand why he's put on the wing on a powerplay though, screening the goalie maybe, but that didn't seem to be his role. Where's Shalla and Derlago to put the finish on our PP chances? I've never been a mega Dave Clarke fan, but seriously, why does he play so much? He's always out there. Is it in his contract or something?

Sheffield fan here, but was at the Panthers game.
While I appreciate all problems are subjective, I feel compelled to say: you lot don't know you're born.

Normal service resumes for a Panthers season under Corey.
Properly terrible and with no sign of improving. Its been a long time since I’d seen a Panthers team settle in a for a heavy loss like we did... we should have burst out the gates at the beginning of the 3rd (5-on-3 for 1.20mins)! Instead we could barely be bothered to skate over their blue line, playing like we were 5-2 up instead.
Garnett was good but not particularly great, yes a few great saves but he let in some softies too. Not the keeper I was expecting and not a patch on Galbraith.
I’m sure that ‘C’ on Lee’s jersey stands for ‘concussion’ and nothing else. No passion, no influence, no drive, nothing but giveaways and static defending. Jeff Brown is the only player who shows any effort in speaking to the refs and tries to motivate his team.
Shalla is Matt Carter mk.II. Top 10 ECHL goalscorer last year to a 4th line coaster in the EIHL.
I like Bussieres, but he shouldn’t have iced in the 3rd period tonight. His head had gone, frustration set in and turned into a liability.
Sauve goes from imperious to inept from one shift to another. Best player we have IMO but his attitude (arrogance I think) can stink the place out. Some of his giveaways in our zone are criminal.
Tetlow & Kelsall - why aren’t they played?! Not a chance they’d be any worse than Lee, Lacho etc.
Overall, the worst thing about this team is (and always will be this year) that they can beat Bern, Turku etc. yet turn out performances like that.
I can only come to the conclusion that’s its Neilson that can’t motivate a team for a season. There was no backup plan, again! I’ve no faith Corey can stop the rot... the ‘right man’ will probably be found late-January to cover for Mosey & I expect more ‘injuries’ to start creeping in again.

After recent games i can understand the criticism of the team and certain individuals within it but i don't see why Lacho's name keeps popping up. IMO he's having a really good season and him and Ollie are doing the jobs of fourth line forwards perfectly well. There were far worse players than Lacho on the ice tonight i just think after the last few season he's become the go to scapegoat. The problems at the minute lie with the top liners not bottom liners

Almost every year a new team comes in,starts well then just stalls and becomes clueless. The problem is him....Neilson And then he comes out on the radio with such a load of crap it just beggars belief. “They worked very very hard tonight” he says. Absolute cobblers,if they did I must have missed that thirty seconds ! Get off your bloody backside Corey and motivate the team. Let’s hear some harsh words for once and threaten this bunch of average Joes that their job is on the line. Fire somebody for god sake. Oh wait, you havnt got the balls to do that, never have had in any season !!!!

Was there worse players tonight? Yes. Did Lacho do anything of note tonight? No. Did Belfast rip us apart on the PP when Lacho is seen by a lot of fans as our best PKer? Yes.

Let’s rewrite this bit: “The game might still have had a different outcome if Panthers could have taken advantage of a 75 second five-on-three powerplay at the start of the final period, but three saves later Giants were back to full strength.“ Should read: The game might still have had a different outcome if Panthers could have taken advantage of a 75 second five-on-three powerplay at the start of the final period, BUT we have a coach who can’t pick settled lines, put together any meaningful powerplay units or special teams tactics & settles year-in-year-out for mediocrity while most the players had their minds on which golf course to visit tomorrow.

I should imagine it was the club spokeswoman, Mary Goran. The rules of a Panthers match report are: 1) We were great 2) The opposition are barely worthy of mention and 3) We won any fights.

I think we need to look at why some other players are not putting up the points. Been riding our luck with all those overtime wins, covering up the cracks.. now we have been exposed.... but only an idiot would look at Lacho and blame him.
