Sign a spare in the summer and make them fight for their place is my argument. Then you’ve got all summer to get the right guy.
Hockey players know the score. Galbraith signed knowing he wouldn’t play every game, so did Beauregard and then there are players like Nikolov who didn’t want to play as many games so went to France next season. All those were quality players and fitted in fine.

Is Brisebois (sp) out with concussion as rumoured? Then it might be a while before he is back. Was that the cause of his first injury too?

Brisebois and Spang have been in training today so it looks good for them, the club have said they will have an update on Mok later in the week which is very worrying. I know he got a puck to the face but does anyone know what is actually damaged, eye, nose, teeth? Hopefully it’s not damaged his eyesight.

Don't we say that every week? If they're out for a stretch then they probably do need to look at it, but there's nothing to suggest that's the case yet. You seem to want to assume it'll be like Schultz, to prove you right. I’d just prefer they learnt their lesson and took action before injuries occurred. What did Brisbois miss,15 games or so ? Came back and now he’s out again. We’ve been here before....several times !! What makes you think we aren't looking into it. If only one or born will only miss a few games there might not be the need to bring in anyone else. Spang was only injured two days ago do you really think at this point in the season theres a huge group of unattached quality import d-men we can just cherry pick from. As has been pointed out steelers have been short a while now and they are not normally a team that does things by half measures. Maybe playing 5 D for few games if thats the case with the players we have is better than bringing in the first guy who shows up who can hold a stick. Like as been said do we really want another Hardy or Grimaldi coming in. If someone like Keith Aulie was available who has just been released by Chicago Wolves in the AHL is available then maybe it would be a good idea. One thing the Panthers have done this year which isn't necessarily true of previous seasons is they haven't messed about with recruitment so i don't think theres much need for concern at the moment.

What did Brisbois miss,15 games or so ? You must be a fisherman. 7 to be exact, domestically anyway. First 6 league games and the first CC game.

Think it was about the 2nd pre season game he got injured and he didn’t appear again until well into the CHL campaign.

We're talking cross porpoises here. He's played... 10/17 EIHL games. 6 injured (First 6 games of the season, comeback game 14 October vs Steelers). The first 6 were definitely injury but last Sunday's game? If you mark it down as an injury that's 7/14. He's played 4/6 CC games (again, vs Manchester was he injured or rested/healthy scratched? Sauve, Perlini and Clarke weren't injured but didn't play that game?) So domestically (as my post says), due to injuries, he's missed 7 games at least, maximum of 9 (if he was "injured" last weekend). The club haven't said that he's "injured" per se, have they, just that he wasn't playing? Looks like he's played 4/8 CHL games (4 missed, but not domestic) and I'll take your word that he missed 3 pre-season games too (which I don't count). So I guess we're both right.

Only 3:59 TOI in the TPS home game, if it helps.
