I wouldn’t go by the office go direct to Black, you’ll get no answer from the office they don’t even reply to Cats Whiskers . It’s Black that imposed the ban email him direct or call him.

Are you (and your Son) a season ticket holder? No, this is the 1st year in 15 seasons I've not had a season ticket. My son just started coming to some games at the end of last season.

Have you contacted Calum Chamlers directly? As Social Media Manager for the Panthers he is very active on Twitter etc. I tagged him into the tweet about donating the Testimonial shirts for charity auction.

I certainly won't be apologising. I would happily do so if I'd done something wrong but the dozens of people at the Q&A could all confirm that I didn't make any abusive comments which is what I have been banned for.
I should be getting an apology from Mr Black for his spiteful and petty treatment but I'm willing to let the slide to achieve a positive resolution for both parties.

I admire your principles but honestly without an apology I think you have next to no chance of getting the ban lifted. Not any time soon anyway.

To be honest Rob, I think you should just go.
On a match night, how many people will even be aware of you being banned, let alone know your face?
The full-time Panthers Organisation is fairly small. Neil Black rarely attends, Gary Moran is pretty busy on a match night with other tasks and I seriously doubt any of the other off-ice staff will even know what you look like, let alone be on the lookout for you.
The arena staff and 'security' are even less likely to be on the look out for you, what with them being preoccupied with foiling terrorists and those trying to sneak sweets into the venue.
In a 7200 seat venue you are quite literally just another face in the crowd.

How did they even tell you that you were banned? The Arena contacted me to say that I wouldn't be able to use the tickets I had purchased for that weekend's game and then I received a letter from Panthers management which said I had been banned from Panthers matches and events because of my abusive comments towards NB at the Q&A.

So the arena only knew who you were because you had brought tickets under your name? If you send me the money I'll buy your tickets for you.

I'm still trying to be reasonable with the club at the moment so I don't really want to break the ban and I don't want to be looking over my shoulder for security during the games. Especially when I have my son with me.

Unless you apologise I don't think you've got any chance of ever having the ban lifted, whether you're in the right or not. Right now you need them a hell of a lot more than they need you!

I agree too.. unlike football where most fans details are scanned etc and scrutinised this arena ain't as clued up regards policing.
Just sit around the other side of the arena to where GM normally sits if that bothers you.

How did they get your name and address? Just pretend you never received the letter. If they won’t acknowledge you, don’t acknowledge them.
Tbh I don’t think you will get a response now, head in sand time.
Long shot, would be you’re mp, arena being funded by the public money?
I would just get really involved with the supporters trust and put the pressure on them. It’s funny that you now need a body like the supporters trust to resolve this.
I’d just go, screw them, it’s our club not theirs.

The thing is it's his word against yours, I highly doubt you'll win. I'd just apologise for the sake of taking your son to games and going yourself without looking over your shoulder. It all comes down to what matters most to you, your ego or attending games. I don't envy you at all

I'm no loony-leftie but you don't need Jeremy Corbyn to tell you that what is required here is solidarity.
Pick a game and organise a boycott. If they think you've got enough support and it will hit 'em where it hurts then you're more likely to get a result.

The room was full of people who know that I didn't say anything abusive towards Mr Black. How about wording you apology in a certain way. Say that you apologise to NB if you felt I was abusive, that wasn't my intention and there has been a misunderstanding and you'd love the opportunity to talk and clear the air. I honestly don't think you have a shot without some form of apology whether one is due or not.

No disrespect to Rob but people aren't going to publicly boycott games because of this issue. Black wouldn't even notice, GM wouldn't care. It would be their loss, not the clubs. Solicitor is the only realistic way forward. Maybe even stepping away from the issue until the end of the season/start of next season might help. If they aren't going to do what is morally right, seek a legal resolution, simple.

I think an apology would be the best method of sorting the situation, if I was in your position and I new I’d done nothing wrong I would still apologise if there was any chance that it would allow me to continue supporting the Panthers.
You don’t have to mean it but what’s to lose?

You don’t have to mean it but what’s to lose? The issue is that an apology may be taken by Neil Black et al as an admission of guilt, regardless of how it's phrased, and therefore taken as justification for the ban. To touch upon an earlier post, Rob not attending doesn't harm the Panthers at all, but his being banned works as a warning to others, so why would Neil Black choose to rescind it? Look at it from his (businessman) point of view. What's in it for him? As is, he has very public warning to others who may wish to 'take him on' (I know this isn't what Rob was doing but I doubt Neil Black feels the same, hence the ban). It could be argued that Rob became the unknowing martyr to Neil Black's cause.

There’s a saying we work with when we deal with complaints: an apology isnt an admission of guilt but merely an acknowledgment that something happened that they weren’t happy about.
I’m sorry to say but if you don’t offer any apology, I don’t see what reason they would have to rescind the ban. I don’t know who’s right or wrong here but at the end of the day, you need them more than they need you. And not enough people will boycott to improve that situation for you.
