If they want to really punish Rob they should let him back in.

Happy New Year @panthersihc Me & the boy are off to the Skydome to support the team this afternoon. New Year, New Start? How about you end my ban and let us support our team @nottinghamarena as well?

Anybody really wants to see what the Panthers management are all about, then just look at this petty, pathetic stance.

I've just read this thread for the first time ever and I must say he has surpassed even my low expectations of him. No wonder so many people I know from the days of the 'old barn' gave up due to him. Is this Soviet Russia? The CHL really must have gone to his head!

So, still banned for the non existent abusive comments made towards NB. I've now been forced to take legal advise on this so I'll update again asap for anyone who's still interested.

Let me know what you said. I'd take a ban willingly! Take over the currently vacant role of Supporters Trust Interim Chair. That should do it....

I’m surprised Sevcik wasn’t willing to help, particularly as he could do it anonymously. Good luck, Rob, and keep us posted. I, for one, am still very interested. Hope your solicitor advises you to go public so you can publicly shame them.

Second thoughts, I’m NOT surprised. Typical of most fans apathy.

Yeah I reckon so. The weird thing is I've not missed it that much. It's more the principle of being unjustly banned that has kept me fighting it and wanting to take the boy to some home games. I've barely missed a home game for 15 years until this but it's amazing how quickly you find other things to do. I've started to go to a few Stags games again. I was a prolific supporter of them between the ages of 7 - 21 until I moved to Nottingham after uni. That really does feel like a club where everyone is in it together and has an owner focused on winning.

That's it. When you look closely at how other sports teams treat their fans, put emphasis on winning etc you realise just how shoddy the Panthers set up is.

Knowing how the club react and have reacted in the past when they feel threatened, I think that, if you are countering with legal action, then black will just ban you for life. His club, his rules. And it's all right posters, like silversenior, sitting on the side-lines and saying 'go for it, show them you mean business by involving solicitors'.They've not been banned, they can sit in the stands and cheer (or boo) the team, safe in the knowledge that using a non de plume on here means they're safe.
My advice, suck it up. If it's this season only, you can be back next keeping your nose clean. This season looks to be a washout, and who knows what the team including coach will look like next.

Just curious Rob, but you keep stating that the ban was just for your actions at the Q&A, yet the statement regarding your resignation on the Trust website states it was for a multitude of things hence why Supporters Direct etc aren't getting involved.
What's the deal?

What's the deal? The letter from Panthers management states that the ban is for the abusive and threatening comments made to Neil Black at the Q and A. I resigned partly because I feel that the club have a personal issue with me and a new chairperson might have a slightly better chance of forming a working relationship with the club.

I still think it's a shame that TCW decided not to discuss your ban Rob, when it was still fresh. Even the usually fence sitting Nottingham Post covered it.
Perhaps if TCW had discussed your ban their would be a better overall understanding of the flimsy justification Neil Black et al were using for it.

What's the deal? Could do with some clarification on this from the trust and Rob after the trusts statement was made as both views seem to be different?

I don’t see how this is too difficult to grasp.
Black banned Rob after the Q &A citing abuse that nobody else seems to have heard. Although one person recorded it but won’t provide the recording. He receives a letter which also includes another couple of historic ‘incidents’ as if to make Rob a serial offender.
By throwing in the other ‘incidents’ of course the Trust and Supporters direct can’t support him in that case because the other ‘incidents’ are outside their remit.
I think that’s a fair appraisal?

Yep, Which is why I stepped down as I beleive the club has a personal issue with me (I also think that anyone heading up the Supporters Trust would have been on their hit list as they obviously want it crushed and silenced and for fans to keep blindly parting with their cash without any complaint or questioning). It should also be noted that I have never been banned before and have barely missed a home game in 15 years until this October.
