Wow, phenomenal result. As has been said it's a shame we couldn't sneak the win in regulation as Bern have lost tonight too so we would have been top of the group or at least on the same points! Who would have thought that after 3 games in the CHL?! Regardless of what happens for the rest of the CHL campaign we can certainly be proud of what we have done. Really really looking forward to seeing this team in the league, it looks very promising. Interestingly I took a fan today who lost interest after the past two seasons but left this game very enthusiastic and getting tickets for the Bern game. That's what a hard working team can do for fans.

Watched the game by the pool at the Florida holiday villa, can t believe I am so gutted I could only watch it live via CHL website, (which was fantastic quality I might add!) instead of being there. Glad I am flying home (really!!)Friday evening to be able to get to the weekend game.....who needs sleep!!

Well that was amazing, I always knew it would be an entertaining game, but when I invited my mates along I didn't think it would be a competitive game. I watched on PremierSports Saturday's game vs Mountfield and goddamn I was excited by both the win and how we earnt the win. Well after today's win I am on an even higher cloud. We didn't just win but we deserved to win. The arena was also buzzing. That was one of the best games I've been to.
Well done Corey and well done team!

Let's hope this team can carry the good work into the league campaign. Things look promising at the moment. I did say in an earlier thread we could win a couple of these games and boy does that feel good.

No Brisebois again unless I'm mistaken (wasn't at the game as abroad). Anyone know what's wrong with him?

I'd heard that "a player" (unnamed, but who else would it be?) suffered a facial injury in training before last week's CHL trip which required (at least) several stitches.

Thank you Shaggy. Still haven't seen this team yet, so excited! Can anyone give brief descriptions about each player?

I always thought it was a 'lacrosse goal' - if successful of course! Never seen anyone even attempt it in the UK before. Maybe it's the first part of the move is the Michigan. I have no idea tbh. I was giddy just at the fact he tried. God knows what would have happened had he pulled it off. hope this is right

I don't think enough praise can be heaped on these guys for last night still. That was a play for the badge on the front performance.
Genuinely can't wait to get going on Saturday now

I got an interview with one of the Czech players, which I was asked to do for the CHL, which might be on their website. He made the point that they were used to the short passing game and that Panthers played more of an American game, but said Panthers were the better side.

Can someone give me the line-up. The CHL site shows 22 players (4 lines of 5) and 2 nets. Previous games have been 20 players in total for us.
Assuming rules apply whereas the total inc nets = 22 I guess TETLOW was not on the bench (he recorded no ice time)and was on the sheet by mistake.
Thus in all games thus far apart from BRISEBOIS missing,HAZLEDINE,KELSELL and TETLOW have all not benched/played.

I think a bench clearance would soon follow if that happened.

Thanks....it's just that it wouldn't be the first time the IIHF (CHL) site didn't add up. All this 'how many minutes/seconds on ice' stuff is ok but sometimes the shots on goal and goals against don't equal the total shots at times like the first game. I now see Kelsall as well as Tetlow on the 'line ups' section of their site. So can only guess both benched if didn't ice. Did anyone see these players last night skating out to play?

Couldn't get to the game on time last night due to Lincoln being gridlocked & a poorly one year old, but watched the game on tv & this team is shaping up very nicely.
Two cracking results in the CHL. Well played to the squad & Sauve certainly looks a player.

Both Tetlow & Kelsall were on the bench last night. I have a feeling their respective NIHL teams have exhibition games this coming Saturday and Sunday. So it may be that they play for Bracknell and Swindon respectively where they will be guaranteed ice time rather than ride the pine for Panthers against Bern. Time will surely reveal all...

Outstanding. A bit of a shame a couple of PPs cost us the 3 points, but as others have said cannot fault any of the guys. Every single one played fantastically and put a shift in. My first time seeing this team. Very, very impressed. Mokshantsev looks to be a real gem. Could be a suprise package within the whole league. Cannot believe he attempted a Michigan(apparently thats what it's called. I found out tonight) and nearly pulled it off too. Swapped to the top line in the 3rd period. Don't see him staying on the 4th for long. I always thought it was a 'lacrosse goal' - if successful of course! Never seen anyone even attempt it in the UK before. Don't quote me on it but i think someone from Brahead scored a Michigan last season?

From a Cardiff fan who watched the game on TV:- Obviously it's way too early to be making much in the way of judgements... but that's nice to hear, don't you think?

^ LOL!! I'm certainly not going there! Regarding the two results against the Czechs, there's very much a lot of salty fans amongst them!
