Outstanding. A bit of a shame a couple of PPs cost us the 3 points, but as others have said cannot fault any of the guys. Every single one played fantastically and put a shift in. My first time seeing this team. Very, very impressed. Mokshantsev looks to be a real gem. Could be a suprise package within the whole league. Cannot believe he attempted a Michigan(apparently thats what it's called. I found out tonight) and nearly pulled it off too. Swapped to the top line in the 3rd period. Don't see him staying on the 4th for long. I always thought it was a 'lacrosse goal' - if successful of course! Never seen anyone even attempt it in the UK before. Maybe it's the first part of the move is the Michigan. I have no idea tbh. I was giddy just at the fact he tried. God knows what would have happened had he pulled it off.

Great result, you can tell this is real team, always standing up for each other and the laughing and joking on the bench after Farmer's 'accidental" spray of the goalie was brilliant.
I'd say about 3800-4000 so not that bad for a Thursday night in holiday season.

Wow, phenomenal result. As has been said it's a shame we couldn't sneak the win in regulation as Bern have lost tonight too so we would have been top of the group or at least on the same points! Who would have thought that after 3 games in the CHL?! Regardless of what happens for the rest of the CHL campaign we can certainly be proud of what we have done.
Really really looking forward to seeing this team in the league, it looks very promising. Interestingly I took a fan today who lost interest after the past two seasons but left this game very enthusiastic and getting tickets for the Bern game. That's what a hard working team can do for fans.

Never seen him laugh like that. I've been looking forward to this game all week. Can't wait for sayurday now.

Great to see such confidence finally in a Panthers team to try these things though.

It may of been a smallish crowd but it sounded like a saturday night sheffield match in there.
Just goes to show theyre doing there bit, we're doing our bit and it looks as though everyone's going to be happy.
I know we lost to Cardiff but that was very early on, with the quality we are playing against teams who should be better than anyone in out league all the other EIHL teams cannot be looking forward to playing whether home or away.
Would also like to echo people on here, not one player tonight had a bad game, well done chaps lets make this a habit.

Wow. Just... wow. Perfect? - not at all. Perfect doesn't exist. What we appear to have here is the closest we are realistically going to get. Returning players appear to have a new lease of life, a new confidence... new players are coming in and lighting up the place. And most importantly of all - oh, how we have wanted to see this! - we have a TEAM. Teamwork, team spirit, team game. And just look at what they're achieving... holding Bern to a respectable loss, an historic away win to Mountfield and then (after Mountfield realise that maybe the Panthers aren't as much of a pushover as they thought) a home win to complete the double! Did anybody see this coming? - I certainly didn't! Halfway through the first round, and we are second in our CHL group. People are actually starting to talk - still with disbelief in their voices, mind - about the surely-unthinkable possibility of actually advancing to the second round! I can't bring myself to believe it... but then I didn't see these results coming either. Is someone going to pinch me and I'll wake up? If this team can play with the same level of intensity in domestic competition... oh boy, are they going to be a handful and a half for the opposition! It's way, way too early to be making any predictions for the season... let's just say, the omens and portents are good. Whatever happens... ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seatbelts - I think we're going to be in for one hell of a ride!

So close Higgy, 1 off according to the sheet. Another really good result, been slightly unbelievable so far tbh.

The season hasnt even started yet and I'm already so, so proud of what this team has achieved. Every player has been fantastic!
Oh and the barn was absolutely rocking tonight, it just shows how a team that works and battles hard can get us fans going, absolutely phenomenal.
Do we dare dream?

Awesome result, regardless of how weakened Mountfield were, they would beat the other 11 Elite League clubs.
Add, Most wins by an Elite League Club in a single CHL competition and most points in a single CHL competition to the list of 1sts.
Nice to see the Officials refer to the Match Night Program for confirmation of how many players should be on ice for Overtime.
Not too sure what I make of The Power Breaks though.

Absolutely fantastic contest. Can't believe the arena wasn't full. Fans can't afford to miss this. Much better than 10 games vs the scum. Twice the quality of the elite league. Europe is the future for the panthers.

One more win and they qualify from the group. Unbelievable. Is that true, I agree, unbelievable. Not bad for the lowest ranked team.
Hopefully Cardiff can pull off a win, in a way we need it to improve the status The Elite League has within The European Competitions (As in a higher seeding)

All the players are looking great at the minute but Sauve looks downright incredible He is just another level. Was having a disscussion with my mate tonight. Can you name a better dman Panthers have had in the elite league? We were struggling.

Absolutely fantastic result, simply stunning. But I'm afraid one more win might not be enough, it's not that simple unfortunately.

One more win won't be enough, that would only give us 8 points. Bern can get 15 Mountfield 13 Turku 12

One more win won't be enough, that would only give us 8 points. Bern can get 15 Mountfield 13 Turku 12 While 1 win isn't enough to guarantee it, you numbers are misleading because for example Mountfield and Bern play each other twice so they can get between either if Bern get 15, Mountfield only get 7, and then TPS could only get a max of 9 points. In that scenario any win against TPS would get us through. I'm going to crunch some numbers to be sure, but I'm 95% certain a win doesn't guarantee, but makes it quite likely we'd progress.

Numbers crunched. No single win can guarantee us progress. However it could still be enough depending on other results. Today's dropped point (can't believe I'm even calling it that!) could be crucial.
