I'd love a respectable scoreline but their roster suggests it'll be the opposite unfortunately for us! Best team in Switzerland, with some very high profile names. Mark Arcobello, Andrew Ebbett, Mason Raymond, and Switzerland's #1 between the pipes. However, there's probably no bigger team we could've had the chance to showcase ourselves against. Going to be an incredible experience for those heading out there for the game, hope you all give our fans a good rep! But Didn't Neil Black say they were just a small town 😂

Do we have harder ties than Cardiff? Or do they stand a better chance of winning someone in their group? If Bern are the best in the country I wonder where Davos rank? Wouldn't be surprised to see Cardiff fans in Prague either, pity they didn't play Sunday as we could have pulled their match in aswell.

Davos are pretty good, they have one of the lowest average attendances in the NLA but have made the semi finals in the playoffs the last two seasons and won it the year before that. Bern have won the playoffs the past 2 seasons, and they won the league as well this last year. They also have 13,000 season ticket holders!!
The biggest difference between the sides is that Davos have 28 Swiss players, while Bern have 18. Davos also have the coolest arena I've been to.

That's one way of describing it! www.1905.ch/sites/default/files/patinoire/Davos.jpgUnfortunately I was only there running, and there was no hockey on at the time I was visiting

Is there a special CHL website to get stats from which I need as usual?

As long as we do the simple things right and not gift goals/penalties away then I think we are good enough to keep it close/respectable.
I remember Sheffield fans last year(especially the gobby one) saying how unlucky and heroic they were in Salzburg(I think that's where they were), I remember something entirely different. Phillips giving away stupid blatent roughing penalties and being punished severely Euro refs have the reputation they have for a reason but we can't give them any reason to punish us. If we do that I won't be impressed.
Make them work for their goals, if we are at the end of a hammering at the end so be it but if we play smart we could give them a run for their money.
Predict we'll lose 5-1 but we'll get the first goal.

With regards to euro refs we did alright last year in continental cup But it's a completely different team though, we seem to be playing a much more physical, in your face, style at the back end, hopefully the refs let it go and don't penalise us every time we mix it up with the physicality

Best of luck to the Panthers in your CHL games, safe travel to your team and fans. Enjoy the games and experience and hopefully both Devils and Panthers can pick up some points

Anyone seen any word on if they will stick our game on Youtube seeing as its not the live game on thursday? Am I right in thinking that other countries can watch it via CHL's only website? If so surely someone abroad will be streaming it?

I'm expecting double digits.
No disrespect to the team, I think they look awesome and I really cannot wait for the league to begin, but, this is Bern.. One of, if not the richest club in Europe, one of the biggest clubs in Europe, a massive wealth of experience in the best leagues in the world, reigning Swiss Champions.
I think we'll start well, keep them out of the net for a bit, maybe even score ourselves but after a period or two I think we'll be worn out.
The game against Hradec I feel we'll have a much better chance.

For every £1 you bet.......
Over 5.5 goals in the game returns £1.47
First goal before 9mins 30 secs has elapsed returns £1.47

I think 5-2 would be a very respectable score, but predicting more like 7-1.
Does anyone know if this game is being shown online anywhere for free?

Ok, just had look on the CHL app and it says all live TV games will be on Premier but any not shown live will be available on thier app or the CHL website. So that sounds to me like we can stream tonights game and then saturdays will have to be TV or *ahem* "other means".
