Really liked what i saw, lots of speed, a willingness to get dirty when needed and a general feel that the whole team os willing to work hard.
Garnett probably just needs to settle in a bit more he seemed quite keen on coming out and challanging the breakaway but at least once he lost eyes on the puck and just stayed in no mans land halfway between the goal and the blue line. Now im no netminder but surely if youve lost the puck you should be heading back to your goal, no?
Not meaning to sound negative as i really do think we have the makings of something really special.

What a Fantastic game! Pretty much all the new arrivals impressed. Sauve in particular looking seriously good.
Poor Panthers attendance, but the traveling Germans fans brought the energy and by the 3rd there was a great atmosphere.
Couldn't be more happy with what I saw tonight, while its still only pre-season and the player synergy is yet to come, the raw talent showed.

Think you'll have an easy game tomorrow, Clan being short benched is nothing short of a disgrace.
Feel sorry for the coach and the players, perhaps if we had got Coach Tripp in sooner we could have had more bodies.

Very enjoyable game against Krefeld. Sauve looks a real different class, not afraid to get his nose dirty too.
I really liked the look of Mokshantsev & Bussieres too. The top line (Phillips, Mosey, Derlago) needs time to settle but I think they could put up some serious numbers together.

Really enjoyed that. Didn't seem like a friendly, was as god as anything we'll see in the elite league this season. We got a team. Some top players there. They talk to each other before face offs. They string more than 2 passes together. Hell, Corey called a time out. We won. Looking forward to the season.
Roll on chl. Roll on a European league.
German fans were great, until they lost and started to be all German. Showsec let them all stand? Funny that.
Security was ott, the arena has been decorated like a hipster bar and they've got rid of half the toilets.

Very enjoyable game, and an impressive result. Not going to draw too many conclusions on players from one game, but the effort levels were very good throughout. Great noise from the travelling fans, shame we don't have a safe standing area behind the goal to create something similar. Ken may want to mention post-game niceties to the visiting team before the game when the CHL rolls into town... got rid of half the toilets Yeah, that's a rather annoying development. Did they really need yet another bar under block 5? And how do you redesign it but still manage to get the flow of people completely wrong (sinks at same place as the entrance)? Baffling.

Best Pre-Season game I've ever been to. Some real talent on show for both sides and we never looked out of place against a DEL side.
Perlini stood out for me. Still loving that he's classed as a Brit.
RE Garnett, I disagree with what some have said, I think he's been solid so far. He's let in 2 PP goals and 3 very unfortunate bounces. I think as he gets used to his defence he will only get better. Made some good saves tonight.
Can we not start our league campaign tomorrow please?

Can't wait to see the highlights of that game... blink and you missed so much! It's too early to say for sure... but this team shows every sign of being something special. Whether we win lots of silverware or not, it looks very much as if we are going to be treated to a lot of entertaining hockey. Positives:- Intensity - the whole team was up for it, from start to finish. And some of the returnees - Jeff Brown especially - appear to have a noticeable amount more 'jump' to their game. Speed - this was a DEL team, a league known for its fast, high-intensity hockey... and we matched them for speed a lot of the time, with both Mosey and Lindhagen winning foot-races for fun. Physicality - no backing down, just about the whole team getting stuck right in (hell, even Lacho threw a nice hard check! )... lots of battling everywhere, boards or mid-ice. Puck possession - let's face it... Krefeld are a more skilled team. But we held on to it a hell of a lot more than I was expecting to see. Possible negatives:- I'm not convinced about our face-off winning yet. Could be a problem... I stress "could". We shall see. Garnett does like to wander a bit, doesn't he? Think we need to put a bungee cord on that boy... So many of the new guys looked really good... it would be quicker to list who didn't! To be honest, I didn't notice Derlago all that much... but again, it's early days yet. Where was Spang, BTW? Not that it really seemed to matter... {Edited to add - were we playing under EIHL rules, and so had a maximum of 14 imports? If so, that would explain the lack of Spang} As preparation for the CHL goes, that was invaluable. Beating a DEL team like Krefeld - well, we're still going to be underdogs, but this gives me a lot more confidence that we're going to give our opponents a real game at least. As far as domestic hockey goes... if we play like that in the league, we are likely to cause our opposition a LOT of problems! Now to see how much the team have left in the tank for the Braehead game tomorrow... because they weren't holding back tonight. OK, sounds like the Clan are short-benched and there for the taking... so if we can dominate and seriously clobber them, that'll be one more good sign. Again - we shall see. Nice one, Panthers!

Wow just wow !! What intensity for a pre season challenge game .
Where to start we look so slick going forward and very solid on d man we are very mobile too. For our enforcer Gagnon is very easy on the puck and his outlet pass is very good.
Saúve is just in a league of his own , he dominated ot on hi own .
We have plenty of forwards who will get stuck in too especially Raffa and Mok
Quick mention on Phillips this guy has serious work rate he's a valuable defensive forward
That #17 who's name I've forgotten I'm sure he's got faster!! At least twice he left their d for dead !
We have a very promising team indeed here
One more thing the 3000 or so fans have seen what this side is capable of , the bar has been set !

WOW, wasn't really expecting that intensity for a Pre-Season game, it was thoroughly entertaining throughout. I was thinking that there was some kind side bet going on.
I am very happy about what I saw from this Panthers team, they played their hearts out, Krefeld certainly played their part especially their NM who had a blinder.
Hopefully The Panthers Management don't look at the attendance and decide not to do something similar next season as I believe that playing a DEL side (Or a side from a similar League) can be very beneficial as well as entertaining. It is also fun seeing how supporters from different nations chant and react) We should really adopt their method of killing Penalties (The very loud whistling) I would love to see the atmosphere of a rivalry game over in Germany.
Mosey's goal was a thing of beauty as was Savre's equalizer. I believe that it being 4V4 helped.
I think that the top teams in The Elite League can certainly hold their own against a DEL team.
A lot has been made regarding teams not wanting to go to Manchester, however I'm not too sure whether many teams will want to come to Nottingham after a performance like that.
Regarding the discussion regarding Our youth against Sheffield's older squad, I'm don't think that the Steeler's can handle them.
One negative could be that this result could reach our CHL opponents and they could be taking us more seriously (if they weren't before)

Great game, really intense for a 'international challenge match'
We look solid all over the ice, really impressed.
Krefeld fans were really noisy, such a better atmosphere when fans stand I feel, very different fan culture to over here, they realise this is a serious sport and not a 'family night out'
Even the £3 Panthers beer tasted alright

If we play like that all season long... I'm not going to jinx it but impressive skill, grit, desire, speed, physical and although it was 5 players' debut they looked like a team who will stand up for each other. Even lacho threw in a couple checks, it was infectious.
Very excited by what I have just witnessed. Also impressed with the arena changes.

Not seen this team yet. All I can say is the noise, positivity and excitment coming from pre season, but this game in particular has me real excited.

I can't remember ever enjoying a pre season game as much as that one. I certainly think the fact we ended up in OT was actually a disservice to us. We looked solid on every line and the D were magnificent
certainly don't want to get ahead of ourselves here but some massive positives came from last night. I think Sauve is an absolute gem.
I think Corey summed it up for me - any scuffles we got into, 5 of them were in there. Gagnon will be be a beast. When players like Nickerson and Fitzgerald come in there, they're not going to given any opportunities to goon it up. That left hook he rocked was a game changer.
I thought Derlago was very quiet but his quality will shine at some point. Phillips showed his hands last night and his forechecking abilty. Mokshantsev was straight on front of the net at any chance he could get which is exactly what we need. His pass for Ollie and the incredible save the goalie made was a beaut
I thought Lacho had another good game and his face off skills have come a long way.
I'm really looking forward to seeing them in a couple of weeks when they're fully up to speed in competitive action.

It sounds like it was an incredible game! When Sauve was first announced I was pretty blown away with the level he'd recently played at and it sounds like he could be an outright star for us. This team has the feel of something very special indeed.
Can we dare to dream about yet another British first and possibly escaping the CHL group stage?

Also I meant to say that I don't believe the DEL is necessarily a poorer league now than say a decade ago. Two things have happened in that time, it has become a far more NA style league, similar to the EIHL, and we've got much much stronger. Both of these points have allowed us to be far more competitive and although their respective league is still a higher standard than ours I don't believe we'll see many DEL teams taking British teams lightly from now on.

Really really impressive. Speed, physicality and workrate.
One of the best and most enjoyable games I've seen at the NIC for a while.
Things have improved on social media over the summer, the arena has had a freshen up and the team looks to be a big upgrade. All good stuff.

OK, I have woken up this morning, and by all accounts the game did actually take place last night and we won in almost every department - One of those games that you expect to be a drab affaire or a drubbing (come to expect after last couple of seasons) - but there were so many positives you could not take your eye off the game for a minute
