I remember Muller from his days with the Marlies. Might go to this one...

On paper Krefeld should hammer this Panthers team. But Hamburg made the mistake of taking us lightly and look what happened there. Guess its going to depend how up for it Krefeld are !

It's an interesting situation, that's for sure... As you say, on paper Krefeld have the clear advantage - we are definitely the underdogs. But Hamburg found out that even underdogs can deliver a nasty bite (going back much further in time, remember the mini tour by Dynamo Moscow? - hammered both Sheffield and Manchester, but got very frustrated with us holding them to a draw!). It's a training game for us, it's a training game for them... doesn't really matter to either team. Apart from pride... which can often be a more powerful motivator than league points, oddly enough. Who knows? They could forge ahead, get complacent, concede a few and then get frustrated. Or they could crush us. Or we could wear them down. Or we could pull a hat out of a rabbit and slice them to pieces. To be honest, the result doesn't really matter... I'm paying to see some entertaining hockey. Here's hoping both sides deliver just that.

The DEL ain't as strong a league as it once was, if Panthers gel and play to potential I expect us to get something from the game

Really good first period. Couldnt unlock them but thats not surprising. But we dont look out of our depth. Really pleased to see us competing hard in the corners. Guys look like theyre trying. Some nice passing to in the neutral zone.
Nice fight from Gagnon too.

I enjoyed that period more than any game we played last season.

Yes twice, three times even, but one was into the wrong net! Has gone into Overtime with the score 2-2.

Great performance! We battled really hard and got our reward. The two goals we conceeded were bad bounces as aposed to defensive errors. All the signs are very good. Notable performances: Bilingsley- once again stood.out for.me as really dependable. No dramas and a solid outlet pass. Exactly what i like in defense men.
Gagnon- not just his fight. The guy can play solid defense which is great.
Sauve- he just looks quality.
Bussieres- got stuck in well, but also played the puck well. Hoping he turns out to be a very good player.
Mokshantsev- impressed me. Did all the basics well and looked better than the 4th line.

Great game, very impressed with what I have seen so far. Defensively we are just solid, my main concern is going forward but the signs are there that this team will click eventually. I think we will see the lines click tomorrow with the confidence in getting a few goals against Clan (I hope).
I was a little worried that we would play well but just not get over the line, the same as last week against Devils. We certainly matched the Penguins and damn we look tough this year! Also a little worried about Garnett, looks a tad shaky at times but I am sure that will sort itself out.
Very much looking forward to the season.

The only people who can complain about tonight's game are those who did not go - last season is now a distant memory - could not fault any of the team, they all played well, and we got the win - If they play like that all season I will be one happy chappie

Agree with comments about Garnett - looked a bit shaky last week and again this week but made some good saves so hopefully he will come good in the end

With his increased pace, there can't be many faster skaters in the League than Mosey.
