If you want to have 13-7-2 then you need 3 U23's. Best chance we'll have had at 4 lines for a long time. Except by the sounds of it,they aren't going to be here half the time ! 🙄

It's the league that need to decide what direction they're going. For years we played three lines, lately it's been four lines which made the game faster. And now just to appease the little clubs....were down to nineteen on a roster plus the U23s if you want them. The U23s are fine, but not if you sign 17 year olds who aren't going to play much. Yes you can argue they're for the future. But by the time the future comes.....they'll probably have changed the bloody rules again !

Touchy? You're on a Panthers forum using language this implies that Panthers are somehow following Steelers lead, a team who let their 'promising youngsters' get splinters from riding the pine all season. How about you crank your neck in a couple of notches or just do one and scuttle off back to Steel Talk?

Because he plays for Thommo Pidge. The coach who has all the bright ideas and spouts about junior systems....then doesn't play Brit kids and just kills his top imports. Always has,did it at Coventry and now does it at Sheffield ! Of course it's much easier to play these kids when you hang around 5th place all year, as we don't sit in 5th and always challenge, it's much more difficult. Why is it? Surely when you are dominating games, more shifts should be available to fringe players... Not only are you completely arrogant but you talk utter rubbish too.

What hope do we have in planning for the progression of these lads 10 years down the line? None.

Kirk & Shudra have become full time Steelers for the upcoming season and won't be loaned to the Steeldogs or any other team.
They will act as 11th and 12th Forwards.
