If Odense win in overtime and we lose in regulation, three teams have five points and one win against each other. Who then takes the cup?

Goal difference?

Great effort from the boys to get into this position.
I reckon the Danes will win in regulation tomorrow afternoon but I'm not sure what effect that will have on the Italians effort level.
I hope we can get Nikiforuk in to help.
Fingers crossed we can pull this off. Would certainly be a huge achievement.

If I'm reading that right, if three of us are tied on 5 points tomorrow Ritten and the buldogs go through as they ignore the points gained playing against teams that are not tied. So we lose 3 points and the other 2 only 2 points. Then the Danes win as they won their game against Ritten.

Teams on a tie with points has everyone asking what happens if? Because the rules chZnge so much each tournament. AND I know that we couldn't change the date ( unfair to other teams etc) but we damn well tried. If it was obviously capable to change I'm sure they would, void of rules previous years.

So we lose 3 points and the other 2 only 2 points. Then the Danes win as they won their game against Ritten. We beat Odense in reg, so that's 3. We'd lose our 2 from today. Odense would have 3 from beating Ritten tonight, and Ritten would have to have 3 from beating us in reg. It'd come down to goal difference between us all in that case I think, I'd imagine Odense might do OK out of that (0-2 defeat and 4-1 win, +1), we'd be +2 from the Odense game but would've have to lose to Ritten, so we'd be +1 at best. Ritten are already -3 in a hole. Lots has to fall into place for that to become important though

So we really want Beibarys to win tomorrow. Regardless of the other result we need a point. With that in mind it's probably better if the Danes win their game tomorrow then Ritten won't be able to win the cup whatever our result. So they wouldn't have as much to play for tomorrow night?

So we really want Beibarys to win tomorrow. It doesn't really matter what Odense do tomorrow......we just need that point somehow or we don't win it. Our five points won't be enough.

Ritten look like an aggressive team, no surprise it seemed some of the incident in the highlights didn't look like they were called. Could get dangerous tomorrow night, we should be able to take advantage of the stupid penalties they'd take however I don't hold much hope as I'm sure the officials will have Ritten's back and let them get away with just about everything.

We need to keep our cool during the game.
Maybe Brian could have a quiet word during the warm up to spell out how it's going to be...

It's subjective but you can say it should favour those that try and win in regulation. Yet with the 'same old' teams who hit the top of the league each season. It would rather make an obvious gap between top and bottom more because of the length of the season. Great for these type of events though.

The 3, 2, 1 points system isn't about the tables but about the way that teams play in regulation. Personally I think it's vastly superior to what we do now.

I can see the officials robbing the Panthers of this trophy, I hope not but they can turn a game with just a few penalties at the right time for Ritten
