We are between the two, but do have a car. I do quite like the idea of travelling to the game from Bolzano by cable car. It's not the greatest of locations, but perhaps travelling support is not something that they have had a lot of in the past at the finals. Good job the IIHF took all these things into account when deciding the venue eh. Just think,in Nottingham fans could have walked to the arena and had a choice of only a hundred or more bars etc. Rittens arena must be double world famous I guess.... Oh wait ! 🙄 # Awkward Italians

Just word of caution on the cable car, I recall some German fans using this mode of transport, this was in the opposite direction, they were staying up in the Ritten area and coming down to Bolzano for games, the problem they had was getting back after the late games, worth checking the timetable. Also worth checking, there is a train that runs from part of the way up to the Ritten area (from Soprabolzano) again times might be an issue.
Totally agree with what everyone is saying on the IIHF, using the ranking card is just to cover their decision because the other explanation does not make any sense.
For anyone staying in Bolzano, its not a major town but quite pleasant with some good bars/cafes

We've booked an apartment virtually in the grounds of the arena, I emailed them about bars restaurants etc and there looks to be a few around within a five minute walk. Its only a little town so it going to wonder whats hit it when Panthersnation turns up. Hope the bars are well stocked. £35 return for flights and £125 for 5 nights accomodation.

We are between Bolzano and Renon by the looks of it! This sounds like a right load of fannying around backwards and forwards, not to mention flying out there in the first place. Nottingham would have been a damn sight easier !

Of course Caesar. The rules do change, and it may not be eleven o'clock. In Cortina for the GB Olympic qualifiers in February, the moto did change to "on the hour, every hour".
I'm now off to google Bombardino.

Thought I would share an email I have had back - Looks like you can sit where you want......!!!
Good morning,
into the rink, you can sit wherever you prefer.
There will be a section for Nottingham panthers fans, you don’t have to reserve it.
Best regards

I've been keeping tabs on Odense since the semi final. They've been on fire in December, this final could be epic cos Ritten are flying in their league too.
