Big loss to the league, not just panthers. Enjoyed watching him. Had the mouth and the plums for the job he did and did it well.
Kris Newbury btw? Give over.

Cams message to the fans should be interesting. If it still happens ! Lol Still waiting for the final parts of Grimaldi's blog! The tool just started to touch up on his time in Nottingham and then decided that 'nobody is interested' despite plenty being so! I'd assume he got threatened with some form of legal action. I tweeted him about it and he rather bluntly told me no was interested in it and he wasn't doing it.

When are we going to stop bleating on about Janssen and move on, he will be remembered as another ex NHL'er that didn't stay more than 1 season, I wish him well but we should be looking forward to his replacement.

An interesting read. No-one seems to know exactly what Cam will be doing, but it seems he has a number of options. Quite a turn-round considering the trouble he got into in the past with his opinions. Also, it's good to se that his time in England is commented on favourably, instead of the usual 'ex NHL'er been taking a hockey holiday in UK'

Cam gets offered a job at home. He eventually decides to take it but can't face telling Corey as he knows it won't go down well. Puts off telling us then realises it'll cause a problem to the organisation. Corey rings to check on Cam, forces Cam's hand into telling us. Or maybe he was only offered the job the day before Corey rang him.

Thanks for posting that, I'd not seen it. However I do get the feeling they're taking the mick out of the article though.

As much as I loved watching him last year, his handling of this is beyond poor.Shocking,in fact. Hang your head in shame Cam,not only have you let us down, you've let yourself down.

I don't think it's so much aimed at the article, I would imagine it's the general snobbish attitude that a large contingent of NA fans have towards the quality of our league. When Belak played for Coventry in 04/05, I read lots of snide remarks about him playing at a very good level here, whilst in the NHL, he was a low skilled enforcer.

It's the EIHL they are taking the wee wee of Jonno. They are insinuating that if Janssen was a star player, the standard must be crap.
Perhaps somebody needs to take a look at the stats of how supposedly more skilled players like Anthony Stewart and Nathan Robinson fared over here. They didn't exactly rip it up did they !

I think this league the past few years has opened some eyes. However until we have better media/TV coverage, UK ice hockey will suffer. Just what is UK ice hockey and the EIHL doing? They need to work together - NOT on there own. Coupled with more youth programs becoming associated with EIHL teams.
Beggs the question if the leadership of both organizations get together sooner, rather than later after sitting in the panel discussion at this year NIC pay-off weekend???
