Surprised to hear that you are involved in the playoff weekend Nemesis. This is not aimed at you but the elite league. For the first time in 15+ years we will not be at the playoffs due to the poor produce. I know we go back to the super league but in the past the weekend has been a really great event, a real celebration. Now they seem to be only concerned with getting you in, taking your money & getting you out! The toilets aren't cleaned over the weekend, the seating area isn't cleaned, there isn't time between the games to visit the great restaurants around the arena. It is all about maximum profile for the least produce. Well not this year for us!!

Again not knocking your efforts but the general lack of occasion now and the thinking that the paying Ice hockey fan will accept anything when supporting the sport.

Well 24 hours later and I'm still loving watching Mosey's goal. Cardiff played well but we were just better. Bowns is a brilliant nettie. You really could see our fitness come through in the third and OT. I have a lot of respect for Cardiff and their fans.
As for the organisation of the event, yeh it seemed a bit shoddy but not as bad as has been made out. It's just the usual Elite league lack of organisation. I honestly don't think it actually matters though. Both sets of fans came across as amazing, so loud, and the game was absolutely brilliant. I imagine the only people who noticed any issues are us, anyone who doesn't know ice hockey probably didn't think much about it.

We didn't play well one iota, you guys didn't let us do that, you were all over us like a rash, from the get go to the end you were the only team in it. We were bullied, outshot, and outplayed. Well played you guys, you took us to the cleaners.

Thought you defended well Glynne but you're correct that you were bullied. The '4th line' as it is becoming known was an awesome sight.
One hell of a keeper you have there though, hang on to that guy.
All the best for the rest of the season.

When you attacked I had genuine fear that you were going to score.

It seems the players will get their winners medals after the game against steelers on Saturday night.

Really pleased to have been able to watch a game from start to finish - Always felt that it was going to be won by a single goal, and to be honest either side could have won, as any hockey fan knows it only needs a quick breakaway and a lucky shot, and I for one was on the edge of my seat more than once - think that we dominated all the game and left Devils few chances, but we, like most teams have given up soft goals at some time or other so until the GWG it could have been any-bodies game - it takes two teams to make a game and two sets of supporters to make an occasion - think the Devils fans beat us in the singing and chants - but they are always loud and proud (my second favourite team after the Panthers)- thanks Devils for a game that will stick in my memory for a long time

Hope I can get to watch the game then - can we not do it before face-off, just to annoy Steelers, and pay-back for the number of times they have delayed face-offs at the H.O.T. - Any-one heard from Mr Simms recently??

I was at the game so couldn't say what was shown online ... but as we're in the know, we'd notice. I guess the lack of pictures at the beginning was not shown on screen & the farce of OT, again, probably covered up through the commentary. The shenanigans at the end re presentation again, if not in the know, I'm not sure folk would ask!

I'm loving watching that goal too,Lacho deserves a lot of credit for it,as does Moran. If you watch the goal closely,Bowns very very nearly saves it.......it clips his right shoulder and only just squeezes under the bar.

Just a perfectly executed shot. Bowns had no chance with it.

You need new glasses Pidge !
I know he didn't have a chance with it,but another half inch of shoulder pad and it would have hit the bar or gone over the top.

One thing I don't get, there was constant mentions regarding Cardiff only having 3 lines compared to the Panthers 4 lines. I find that a bit strange considering all the players they seemed to bring in whenever a player was injured or have they released some?

They could have played almost 4 lines as they had 11 forwards, but the problem with some teams is they don't because their 4th line would basically contain two average at best Brits and they would be up against Janssen,Lawrence and Farmer if we matched like for like 4th v 4th lines.
In Cardiffs case their 4th line would have been Piggot,Jones and ? and they would probably have got crushed !

It's what happens when you have a good number of quality Brits in your team......

Cardiffs trouble is their three good Brits are Bowns,Richardson and Batch.....a goalie and two defencemen. But of course they do have an extra skating import because of the Brit goalie.
From next year though with the extra import allowed accross the league,Bowns becomes slightly less valuable as the extra import skater becomes less noticeable.
