What a game. What an atmosphere. What an end. Every last one of them played for the badge today and i haven't seen us play such a solid game before, even with the officials putting our backs to the wall we came out and proved a point. Evan Mosey, take a bow and a contract, MVP of the season for me.
Cam's interview was interesting "we've got 2 more to go get" with how much heart and work we've been putting in lately it's possible we may see the almost impossible. I'd have every one of them back next year if they can keep up this mentality consistently. Job well done. And massive credit to Bowns he was absolutely brilliant all night.

We seem to like scoring OT goals in Sheffield to win the CC
great game but in hindsight, never should have got to over time. we were dominant and had we lost that, it would have been an injustice. The Devils look like they've lost all confidence.
I usually like Darnell but he was awful tonight.

I agree with you both (Shorty & Kezy) I guess that's what you get with it being held in Sheffield, A second rate arena with zero effort and disrespect of both clubs involved which was as I stated above tight edgy game. I think in the future the final should be played at the Manchester Evening News Arena (if available) as that is more neutral venue in my eyes.

Hardly a classic. But my godness Panthers take a bow. That was a defensive masterclass! So well organised, every player worked that system and worked their ass off. Devils had one proper chance all game. Panthers just cut all their best players out of the game. Best team won, was worried it wasnt going to happen but finally Mosey pops up with yet another gwg. Feels like most of his goals this season are game winners. Special metions: Lawrence - Was a beast tonight! Showed just how good he can be in that role, great on the forecheck and got back so many times to break up devils attack. Myers- Why did Cardiff let you slip through their fingers? Same as Lawrence. Lacho - Had a poor season but tonight he worked his butt off on the forecheck... still need to get your head up though when you pass Quick - All the d were solid tonight but this guys class stands out. So smooth seems to create space from nothing with a solid outlet pass. Get him signed up next season. Defense wins championships and after what i saw tonight we're well in with a shout of everything thats left to play for.

Watched from the Legends pub before going into Motorpoint Arena. Yup, we were confused also...20 minutes OT then on the clock was 15 then on the clock was 20 but seemed like no adjustment...was this another 'out of a cloth bag' idea. How ever can we sell this sport? Seems like there is no pre game instruction to those that need it. make it up as you go along.

Very confusing at the end, do they not get runners up medals anymore? They left the Devils players hanging around and no MOM, wonder if they had run out of TV time but not very good organisation. So pleased we managed the win every single guy played his socks off. how happy was Miika & Cam at the end...priceless seeing that.

That was special, a 'had to be there moment' Bowns was outstanding and kept Devils in it. Darnell he beggared belief.
But nights/afternoons like this makes me realise why I turn up week in week out, year in year out.
Pleased for all the players and especially Cam what a great character he is.
Just hope the coaching situation is sorted and we don't risk losing players like Mosey, and Cam

My first cup final in my first season and it couldn't have been any better, the atmosphere in the arena was unreal, I swear the roof almost blew off at one point when we scored the winning goal!
They said I was mad to believe we would win the CC after "only" beating clan 5 - 4 at home in the first leg, they said we didn't stand a chance for the league, they said I was on drugs! I'm absolutely buzzing and no drugs were involved! Two more to go... You better believe that not many teams will beat us from now until the end of the season, it's in our hands and unless something goes terribly wrong, I believe in the grandslam dream!

Does anybody else think it was pretty shoddy that there was not even the winners coloured ribbons on the cup let alone no winners medals? I'd like to think our organisation can produce a memento of this success to present to all the individuals in this team as the EIHL can't afford/be bothered to.

Yes DPG. It was an awful performance by whoever organised it. From start to finish the presentation was shoddy and amateurish.....and Sheffeld want to host play off finals weekend ?
Yeah right !!!!

Unbelievable night. Such a solid display for 60 minutes. We've not just played excellent for over 120 minutes this weekend, perhaps we have just hit form at the right time.
When we hit the bar and post within 15 secs in ot I feared the worst but we stuck to it. I generally thorough devils struggled 4 on 4 on that ice .
That moment is gonna live long in our memory's, it's up there with kims ot goal on that ice in the same goal 12 years ago !!

Back at the Scotish tripple header who would have ever thought we would have "out-physicaled" the Devils twice in three days in two such important games? I actually thought we were better yesterday than Friday as every player did exactly what they had to do for almost four periods straight. Lawrence is going to be exhausted today as he covered more ice yesterday than a Zamboni formation display team! Lee was immense and Lacho believes in his own talent again and has a glint in his eye with REAL desire. One guy has to leave and we are all devestated but now the team has REAL ballance and every player is playing his part. If we had started with this balance back in September the league would have been won by January!

Devils were dominated and look real out of sorts You were well organised and janssenn hit everyone that moved. The amount of energy and stamina that guy has is unbelievable.. Bowns was amazing and could have easily been over after 2 periods!! you deserved the victory well done to you..

Why is gm presenting the trophy? Shouldn't it be the chairman of the league.... To tell the truth I can't remember this happening before. However, it's odd, wrong and whatever you can think of.

As someone there I thought it went very well. Have to be fair and say again that the Sheffield Arena is 10 times the place it was a few years ago since the refit and even the yelow shirts all had smiles and were polite when needed. Great to be able to park at the arena too and now with all of the food places just over the road now it's really not the same as it was a few years back.

<Quote removed by Yotes by request> Nobody is pointing the finger at you Nem, but why were you only given minutes to organise it though? There lies the problem. A cup final, being shown by the BBC and things still being sorted. Whether it be the league, the arena, BBC's intervention or somewhere else along the line, it should have been much better.

So then the sensible thing to do would of been before the players where introduced to run through both roster on the big screen then have the players enter the ice after that.
Or how difficult would it off been to contact panthers even in the morning and ask them about the intro's? it does not take a genius to swap the order of and intro
What ever why you look at it though the 'Event' was a shambles and the elite league should be ashamed of themselves that at a time to showcase themselves they cough up that.
God knows why they had the GM of the team presenting the trophies as well. Where was the league representation?
If that is the dross that the league are going to cough up I hope that they go back to the two legged final and let the teams organise everything themselves. I mean where was the basic stuff such as winners and runners up medals, the streamers of what ever you call them falling from the rafters, the use of the big screen, on/off ice entertainment? All just basic it stuff that is ridiculously easy to organise. or is 12 months not enough time to organise and event like this!
