Apart from the fact the BBC must have been asked and then had a space to fill on the site I don't think any more effort would have been put into it than that. You just have to think that it was a webcast and at least you could see it if you couldn't go I guess.

or is 12 months not enough time to organise and event like this! You are talking about the EIHL here. The same people who use M&S and can't even get carrier bags right.

<Quote removed by Yotes by request> Well there in lies the problem. It's a one of cup final and it seemed rushed. This isn't down to you. Eveyone knew the final was going to be held there for two years so why does it look like know one knew it was going to happen. I really really don't mean to target this at you Nem but come on even you know it shouldn't have gone down how it did. The people above you are responsible. Thank you for the time you did put it in, if only others would have done the same.

I actually came in here to say congratulations. Easily the best team on the day. Was basically Panthers V Bowns.
Enjoy.

Devils were dominated and look real out of sorts You were well organised and janssenn hit everyone that moved. The amount of energy and stamina that guy has is unbelievable.. Bowns was amazing and could have easily been over after 2 periods!! you deserved the victory well done to you.. As a neutral, Panthers deserved the win ... offensively dominant & snuffed-out any Devils attack. A great game - typical 'play-off' style hockey. Credit to Devils fans who were vocal throughout. Well done to both teams & fans for creating a great atmosphere & spectacle ... PS Such a shame that the event presentation was a bit shambolic ... at best! I thought it was an opportunity to showcase the game. Some calamitous happenings will not have endeared the inquisitive viewer to think hockey is something to follow.

Does anybody else think it was pretty shoddy that there was not even the winners coloured ribbons on the cup let alone no winners medals? I'd like to think our organisation can produce a memento of this success to present to all the individuals in this team as the EIHL can't afford/be bothered to. Thought that the whole of the organisation was very poor - it took two teams to make that a great game, would have been disappointed if we had lost but not downhearted - think Devils deserved something at the end, but everyone seemed to be looking round as if to say "what do we do next" - No bunting, no medals, no ribbons on the cup, no idea what to do at overtime, hope they never get the Play-off week-end. Looked like Steelers organisation were not interested as their team were not in it. Heard from my daughter who watched it on TV that the commentary was also very poor and centred on certain other teams not those playing - very poor Sheffield but not unexpected. As for Darnell and the Lord non/penalty - even Lord thought he had got penalised - I will wait for the edited highlights, I hear this is being supplied by Breahead - Well done Panthers

Thanks Nem, - Think you may need to lie down and take your medicine again - As regards the organisation, thanks for everything you did, but in the end the EIHL have come out of it looking like a pile of poo AGAIN. Appreciate what you say about following orders, and only being able to use what you have in front of you, but Nottingham is constantly being berated for the Play-off week-ends, and then Sheffield produce this, even after the M&S bag fiasco/joke that is also being blamed on EIHL - You are owned by the EIHL Chairman, He and the rest of the paying public were let down last night, some-one should hold their heads in shame - Not you Nem

A fair bit of praise for the Lawrence, Farmer, Janssen line on the inferno. Those guys remind me of the Blues CPR line in the play-offs of a couple of years ago. Unfortunately JLF line doesn't have the same ring to it.

<Quote removed by Yotes by request> Thank you for the update.
If true I absolve The Sheffield Arena of all blame regarding the intros.
Also Nem, thanks for all your posts today & thanks for your work yesterday.
However, as you mentioned, people above your pay grade should be thoroughly ashamed of presenting that advert for the league. Whether it be either GM or the EIHL owners as a whole. The whole thing was shoddy & painted a poor picture.
To leave you with such little time is pretty disgraceful. You genuinely have my sympathy.

Unfortunately JLF line doesn't have the same ring to it. The Inferno has been very gracious in defeat, lots of praise for our team which is nice, Devils are a good team this year & that was one hard match so no disgrace on their part.

The whole off-ice organisation was rubbish, even down to the period break "Cheer-leaders" - do not know what music they were playing for them to "dance" to but they looked totally lost, as though they had never met before, costumes did not match - please not again next year - and Nottingham, you have been accused of not giving a show at the Play-offs, so this season show them how the organisation should be run

There were 100's of cheerleaders over a Dom Valley having a competition yesterday so perhaps they struggled to find any good ones for the Arena yesterday. Might as well have not bothered and saved the money to have some winners medals. Never seen a final without winners medals how cheap skate can you get.

GM must be on such a high right now .... he's not updated us on ticket availability for the Steelers game on Saturday.
(Shall i oblige? .... it looks like there are only seats available in the boxes! )

<Quote removed by Yotes by request> By the look of things at the presentation, Gary had tried to tie these on but had only succeeded in attaching his left hand to the trophy.

It's all well and good people that organised it being defensive, no one doubts that a lot of time and efforts were put in by volunteers.
The fact remains, this game was shown on the BBC and a lot of things went wrong - things that really shouldn't have gone wrong.

Why is gm presenting the trophy? Shouldn't it be the chairman of the league.... Presented. yes. Held aloft. No. Get off the ice you egomaniac.

Moran is not the only GM that would want to share in the glory.... I've no issue with him celebrating, but there is an appropriate moment for it. He didn't choose that.

Can you imagine Moran posting such a similar piece on our website as Kelman has today for Cardiff?
They're a class organization, really are. Meanwhile our buffoon won't even let go of the trophy.
