Personally I don't think ST holders should get priority. There are endless reasons why fans can't get a ST so why shouldn't we be allowed to buy tickets immediately to get the best seats possible? We still go to games, we still support the team, we still pump money into the club.

Personally I'd limit ST holders to a 24hour pre-sale slot.

Wasn't there a window for the non-season ticket holders, but went to the majority of the games. I am not a season ticket holder, as I work for a company with a small amount of employees (so I couldn't be guaranteed the time of needed all the time), however I've only missed 2 games this season. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one in this situation. I must admit, I'm pretty peeved about the 6 week window as well as the non discount that's apparently happening. I also seem to remember the time before general sale, where the season ticket holders went into one block and the non-season went into other blocks. When I started going it used to be: 1) ST holders 2) Supporters Club members & people who had been to one of game A B or C. 3) General Sale 4) Tickets get more expensive Last few years it's been Panthers & Steelers ST holders only who get a window, aside from the one year when all went on sale at the same time except Panthers & Steelers, so Panthers fans decided to buy tickets in blocks allocated to different teams. Personally I don't think ST holders should get priority. There are endless reasons why fans can't get a ST so why shouldn't we be allowed to buy tickets immediately to get the best seats possible? We still go to games, we still support the team, we still pump money into the club. On the flip side why shouldn't ST holders get a window? (Personally I think this should be for all teams not just us & Shuff). It's a fair sized chunk of money to splash out in one go, plus you've then bought a ticket to every (league) game.

I've bought nearly every home ticket this season and a few away game tickets too but couldn't buy a ST at the start of the season, not to mention I'll be going to Giants tonight & Steelers on Saturday, yet I have to wait a month to be able to buy the worse seats in the block, good job lots of ST holders are not feeling it this year!? Cheers EIHL.

You'll only have to wait 2 weeks titch, I wouldn't worry about it. We have this discussion at this time every year.

Titch. You tend to find by waiting you end up with better seats. They have had a habbit of only releasing 2 or 3 blocks when ST sales starts. Therefor ST holders buying towards end/middle of the window end up near the back of blocks. They then open up the rest of the blocks and non ST holders get better seats in those blocks than ST holders had to make do with.
You could argue ST holders who commited to every game are being hard done to by not having access to all seats in Panthers blocks.
I wouldn't worry about decent seats.

Does nobody think that the number of tickets that we are allocated gives a slight advantage over the weekend? Fans from every other club think we have an advantage. Even Sheffield fans who lost the Challenge Cup Final on home ice last season.....

We do have an advantage, we'll have the most fans there, our players will have no travel etc, but it's just the way it is. I think Neilson has said that in the past. Of course, we have to qualify first

There may be a home advantage but, then again to Panthers players you could argue it seems like just another home game.
I reckon if you asked say Liverpool or Manchester Uniteds players if they would rather play the FA cup final at Anfield/Old Trafford or Wembley, they would say Wembley without a doubt. Playing finals weekend at the NIC must lose some sense of the big occasion for Panthers, all a bit too same old again.

Usually buying in bulk should be cheaper. £76 for three games is obscene, £87 is mental. 3 games? Pretty sure it's 4 Two semi-finals, a final and a farce. There's only three games worth watching and £87 for that is crazy...

Because some might want to buy a season ticket but know they can't attend every game due to a number of other commitments. What happened to equality? I was a season ticket holder last season but due to changes at work it meant I couldn't attend as many games so I now buy a ticket for the games I can attend. Just because season ticket holder pay out pre season for their ticket doesn't make them any more important then the fans who buy a ticket each week.

I see both points here. But if somebody was a season ticket holder and couldn't get a ticket because they had all been sold to non season ticket people, they would be pretty miffed. The whole point of a season ticket I guess is the loyalty thing, you pay your money up front and there should be at least some reward for that.
It never sells out that quick though, there will still be loads of tickets available even after the season ticket fans have had first dibs.

Just think......7000 fans x about £65.00 in one weekend. Where the hell does nearly half a million quid go ? Straight out the game. Far too expensive. It never sells out. I'm waiting to see how the team shapes up and if we actually qualify, then I'll pick up a cheap ticket from a fan who's team hasn't qualified.

Whilst having a season ticket doesn't make you a 'better' fan than anyone else I think there should be some extra benefits for being a season ticket holder, the play off window for example.
It's a large sum of cash to stump up at once and pretty much commits you to every game, for that surely you deserve a bit extra.

Massively declined as an event. I remember the first few in Nottingham. Other ice pad covered over. Loads of stalls etc on there. Then in the evening it was a full disco with plenty of players around too.
Personally dont mind too much myself. Now I'm much older I tend to spend most of time in the pub. As a non drinker or person with a family etc. I can imagine it's a massive difference for people who want to stay in the arena.

The whole thing has declined over the last few years with less and less being done to entertain the fans. The first couple of years were very good as they boarded over the smaller rink & people had stalls, then the price was increased and the EIHL said they couldn't afford to do it. All the stalls around the concourse were good but was far too cramped & probably a health & safety issue as you could barely move. I love the weekend, I like to see all the other fans here & a great time is had by all but it would be nice to have this somewhere else for a change, although I do see why Nottm is picked being quite central by air & rail with good hotel & eating facilities within easy reach of the arena, I do think tho' that the away fans are being shortchanged for their large travelling outlay when there is nothing put on over the weekend, even the beer tent & disco was removed from Bolero Sq so people that come with families just wander back to their hotels. The last few years it has been left up to a few fans who really take the time to try and organise events or pre playoff parties at the local venues to try and get everyone in the mood. I'm sure given the chance there are enough people who would even offer to help the EIHL in making the playoffs a really great weekend

Without a doubt, to the point where I don't even bother any more. I still go but the decline has been obvious, in quite a short space of time too. Do as little as possible, basically, and add 2 quid to the price every year.

The sooner it moves to Sheffield the better in my opinion. Will never happen. It's not even on the radar to be held in Sheffield. Besides their arena charge a lot more than Nottingham I believe. The next venue after Nottingham will be Wembley! Marks my words... and that will be awesome again.!!
