David Ling 584 AHL games for 503 points at 0.86PPG. Brad Moran 603 AHL games for 509 points at 0.84PPG. Bob Wren 536 AHL games for 502 points at 0.94PPG Not wanting to pee on your parade but stats dont mean everything Why is it if someone's stats are good, they don't mean anything but if they are bad, it's the gospel truth? I'd be happy if he was coming to wear blue this year!

What I struggle with is rival teams' fans coming on forums & posting little jibes, your posting history is littered with them. Then again it could just be me, I suppose. Anyway, all the best for the hockey season and all that.

Just realised he was drafted the same year as Jeff Heerema thats pretty cool.
Jeff was 1998 round 1 #11 though, Brad Round 7.

Listening to the Dictaphone interview it was good to hear that GM has still got the good old "what have you" in his locker.

Moran heads to England Aug 14, 2015 - 10:34 MDT He is the only player in franchise history to have his jersey retired and now Brad Moran will enter his 16th season of professional hockey. The product of Abbotsford, BC has signed with the Nottingham Panthers in the ELITE Ice Hockey League where the 36-year-old is expected to be the clubs number one centre. Moran, who donned number 20 in Calgary, owns virtually every Hitmen regular season scoring record. He's the club's leader in career goals (204), assists (246) and points (450) and also owns the franchise record for most career playoff points with 82. During his five seasons in the Western Hockey League, Moran was a first-team all-star twice in 1999 and again in 2000. He also took home WHL Playoff MVP honours in 1999 when the Hitmen won their first Ed Chynoweth Cup as league champions. According to the Panthers website Moran has been on head coach Corey Neilson’s target list for a long time. Moran spent the last two seasons in Austria where he collected 90 points in 100 games with Linz EHC. www.hitmenhockey.com/article/moran-heads-to-englandLets pray to the gods he doesn't back out.

So.... that's Schultz and Moran for the weekend, can we expect any more of the absentees to turn up for the actual start of the season?...
Even so we will still be 4 imports shy of all our league title contenders right from the off if that's it...

Says Bohmbach and Janssen are expecting the return of their passports, so there's a chance of them too.

Perhaps the management are going to surprise us with a returning ex-Panther during warm-up, like they did with Molin? Yeah, perhaps I'm grasping, but I'm still hopeful that the Panthers' management aren't stupid enough to start the season on the back foot, a man down.

Imagine Ling warming up before the game, the place would go mental Ling would have been my first signing. Still think we should take him as our final import!

Would you really want David Ling at this stage of his career?
When you signed him originally he was coming off of a very good season in Italy where he scored heavily.
Whilst he still seems to be getting a lot of assists, his goal scoring seems to have dropped off quite dramatically.

So are we to assume that the previous incumbent of the no.41 shirt is returning? Or he just wanted 24 and Peckham had signed first?
