They will need a even higher budget then to sign players much earlier. Im very intrigued. Or we could just play with players that we sign for the Elite League. Your poor recruitment decisions last summer will have taught both us and the Clan a lesson.
Players may have to sign early but that means nothing. Blaiser won the league after signing a full roster by the end of July and putting one together in two weeks in the middle of August.

Sheffield have already tweeted saying they are in. Anyway Cardiff would be asked ahead of us. Just thinking how will all these panthers fans who love their euro jollies take this news. They'll be distraught But would they? ? Our obsession with Europe would probably see us enter on the bases we won the conference.... I won't believe we wont be going until both clubs accept and release the fixtures.

No you miss the point. The average player costs more early in the summer than near the end . So signing a so called top player you ll be paying over the odds. Itd no good signing players at the end of july this time when u need to get them over for training camp and be ready to play mid august

Time will tell but watching your mistakes last year will have taught G and Finnerty a lot. It's a learning curve for every British club in this competition.

It seems to be very personal between gump and Tony Smith. I've just had a look back at some of gump's previous posts and he has an unhealthy obsession with Tony Smith: That's just a sample over the last 12 months, the list goes on and on. Very little mention of Simms, the coaches, the players.....It's all about Tony Smith. Regards Doom

I'm waiting gump.........

Hindsight is a great thing, but exactly why should we, and next season's entrants sign a team specifically built for the CHL? What is wrong with playing with your Elite League squad? You're not going to qualify for the next phase barring a miracle so just use your team and go enjoy the experience

Whether it was signed with the CHL in mind or not, I don't really understand this line of thought. A truly CHL quality team would walk our league? I just think it's been poor recruitment, again.

We're not going to win it, just enjoy the trips into Europe.

Recent testimonial dinner for Thomas had previous players comment in public that they were not paid on time nor paid for equipment needs. Not a big secret that Smith has issues with the players.

As for us chucking money at the CHL, that's correct because we wanted to at least compete. I think we also did ourselves proud as did many other fans around the league. I don't know what team you support and I don't care but if your team makes it into The CHL we will see how you do ....

Going to hamburg was ace, I wish we had qualified again I'm one of the grumps who wishes the Steelers weren't taking part in the CHL, but as it looks like it will be happening I'll just have to go with the flow and support them. I just hope it doesn't put us on the back foot with regards the competition that does matter to me....The EIHL. Regards Doom

It's a different format next year with potentially two fewer games.
We have too many panthers fans who are bitter about lots of things to do with our club and others in the uk.
Competing in Europe is raising the profile of the sport here irrespective of the scorelines.
I hope the fans of all three teams that compete in Europe enjoy themselves as much as a lot of panthers fans did.
It is after all an entertainment industry.

If not for the Panthers, would these other EIHL Clubs have this chance?
I'm sure if they had it to do over, they'd of done it a little different.
Most players they brought in had CV's that everyone touted, except Mosey who caught heck.
We have to look at the lack of production these touted CV's brought or didn't.
And certainly enjoyed the CHL experience and Hamburg trip. Believe our fans also learned from the CHL experience.
Yes on entertainment, but the cast could use a rebuild for 2015/16.

Doom I never have worked for Smith never would as I value getting paid and on time. Seeing as how you seem to find any negative comment as a personal attack are you sure you are not his son or work for him. Funny you don't deny the statement made at the testimonial

I hope your 14 other posts were far better than this effort. Unfortunately not. thecageforum.proboards.com/user/2977/recentSeems to have had a bit of an identity crisis too. Went from describing Panthers as "we" to "you". A campanologist would understand which end he radiates from.

It's quite clear from your posting history that you have a personal issue with Tony Smith. Regards Doom
