Was a great game, only downside for me was Baldwin hitting the puck into block 6 near me after sheffield lost, funny thing is, it's not the first time he's done it just wondered if anyone else saw him do it? Not only saw him mate, got the bruise to show for it. Only just saw it in time to get my arm up , celebrating like everyone else, or it would`ve been smack in the face. Anyone think its worth dropping the GM a line about this? It was obviously done in anger and with a bit of luck caught on camera.

Baldwin should be disciplined for that could have cost you an eye. Report it to the Elite league

Defo. That kind of action is irresponsible and should be punished.

Perhaps we need a DoFS as well as DoPS Didnt get to the game last night, did Oakford get regular shifts as i believe he dressed for Boxing day but was rested throughout.

What a crazy crazy night that was, pretty much a dire performance from start to finish , even when Lawrence reduced the deficit to 1 , it looked like steelers should have closed the game out. 2 good one timers were the difference, as ever in 120 mins of hockey Panthers were shocking in the face off circle!!!

We have a bright new shiny stick to beat the Panthers with, it's called the 'inability to win face offs truncheon', and credit where it's due, I have always enjoyed winning a face off far more than winning a game of ice hockey.

I didn't see him take a single shift. He had a couple of shifts with Wild until they went 2-0 up, then he only iced a few times after a penalty kill. Seems like Corey shuffled the defence pairings to combat the Fretter-Forney-Roy line as we had Landry & Schmidt against them most of the night. Hell of a job they did too.

It is a problem though. If you don't win the faceoffs you aren't going to be controlling the play. We were much better at this last night I thought though, especially in the 2nd period. Bruce seemed to have a lot more success when he went to his forehand to take them, something I've not seen him do before. The main issue is our best faceoff guy is a converted right winger (Lawrence), that's not a knock on the guy either. Wouldn't mind having Lynn Loyns back just to take faceoffs, you could almost guarantee he was going to win the draw. Never got kicked out of the circle either. Same with Tkzachuk when we had him. There's an art to it.

If people don t understand the importance of winning face offs, its time to watch a different sport!

A wins a win and really pleased we worked our socks off to get the result. We seriously need a spark though. As per earlier posts we have a lot of workhorses and it paid dividends last night in clawing it back but need a few quality players for them to work towards. At 2 down it got me thinking is the current team better suited for playing away -e.g grinding out wins etc?
Great result though and a good 4 point weekend -phew!!!!

I watched the game last night, not to sure on the choice of shirts no disrespect. The two steelers goals were scored early possibly catching Modig out if he was cold, i noticed doyle didnt control the puck as well as he does when the panthers dumped some shots close to him early doors!!. After the steelers scored I thought your guys seemed to have more of the puck, with the steelers sitting back a bit deeper looking for the break. You had a couple of decent half chances and i dont think there was a doubt you wouldnt score at some point. Some very dubious calls made but they got the call right just before the melee, for me baldwin definately droppd the mitts and was third man in going after farmer, who i have to be honest had a very good game. A total contrast to the game in Cardiff recently. It may not have been pretty but your guys found a way to win and 2 points for an ugly win is better than 2 points lost for a pretty performance.

An eight year old boy killed in France recently should of been enough to teach the dangers of pucks entering the crowd and this is truly disgusting.

I was delighted to get the win and the drama was great, we literally robbed them as I thought the better team lost, but that has happened to us on many an occasion.
However, the overall performance was poor, in my opinion, Personally I can't see this team winning anything and I expect we will finish around 4-5th in the league, unless some changes are made. I believe that with Clarke now out for the season that Corey will need to consider a rejig, as even with Clarke we were not scoring enough goals.
However, looking forward it will be really interesting if Belfast win the two home games against the Steelers, that will through the league wide open and with a bit of luck the race will go to the wire....

He's constantly whining at officials and reacting to even the slightest physical contact. You're a huge man (6'5" maybe?) playing a physical sport, just grow up. I didn't see the puck get hit into block 6 but if true then something should be done about it. He had another mardy at the fans for not clapping him or his team off though. Pathetic, mardy, embarrassment of a man.

Changing the subject if I may... when are they auctioning off the "digestive distress" coloured jerseys? Just awful looking jersey... dreadful. They look like they were inspired by Ronald McDonald, whilst suffering a bout of post-Christmas diarrhoea! Panthers' 'Special' jerseys!!

They look like they were inspired by Ronald McDonald, whilst suffering a bout of post-Christmas diarrhoea! Panthers' 'Special' jerseys!!I'm not saying the shirts are ok or bad but get a tad fed up of several used per season. Why not just make a few to sell at the shop but leave em out of the game itself. Oh yer sorry, need to wear them (at least on the bench) to sway the sales as a game worn. Black and Gold cards on a day you reveal a Brown shirt.No. By what I can get the measure of the OT number of players. The rule is that when you carry a 5 on 3 from regulation it plays down to a 4 on 4 a.s.a.p. (best way to explain it) yet part 5 (v) in the rules states that going from a regulation 5 on 4 , you should start OT as 4 on 3, now that's just messing with my head.As Panthers could not get their due 2 man advantage if Steelers had 'messed' up again. Oh I think however that the ref got it wrong as it should have been 4 on 3 YET it helped both teams in the end as a 5 on 4.Steelers an extra man and us the ability to go 2 men up on a powerplay IF that happened. Oh yer. the puck incident not good as fans also relaxed after the buzzer. We should not have to 'watch the puck at all times' after a game.

I don't mind the base colour on the charity jerseys personally, think it looks a bit bronze-ish, but the stripy arms are dreadful.
Have to agree with Spik though, they wear brown the day Gary asks for a sea of black and gold...

Yes because two wrongs have always made a right! What did he say? I was at the game so didn't see it on tele. Something along the lines of "campaign about mental illness, I keep sending Simms the leaflets but he hasn't got the messege yet" Not too far off calling us B's over the tannoy but hey, GM is the devil right.
