Does anyone know if the coventry player that boarded mosey got any disciplinary action? As he did get a major and game for it in the game?

No further action as far as I know.
The 'turtle shell' which mysteriously appeared when Max went after him is taking some shifting from his back though.

The hit wasn't that bad to be fair. Not worthy of a suspension.

I don't believe Sindel is a dirty player generally but it was a poor hit, I think he is being asked to play a game that is not his natural style by the Blaze, he was never going to fight, he has no fight card at all so he would always have backed off, especially after being swung around like a rag doll. Not sure how the reviews occur, so can't comment on the DOPS reviewing or not reviewing it, glad there was no injury though, it's good to have a feisty game but I never like to see injuries from poor hits, we've hardly seen James Griffin play this year due to concussion caused by a hit at Braehead but there was no review of that incident either!

You don't go round making hits like he did and not expect nothing to be done about it if it's not his game. Just because he is not a fighter and turtles when challenged is not an excuse. The hit looked worse than it was, but at the time, (it was right in front of me) it did look bad.

The hit looked awful from my point of view on first viewing but on the highlights you can see Mosey turns his back late and don't think Sindel had much chance to let off

But remember, Mr Smith (Owner of Sheffield Steelers and Chairman of the EIHL) has no influence over the DOPS decisions...

None whatsoever, none, nadda, zilch, zero It is hopefully just incompetence and coincidence but it is starting to look a bit worrying now..... It's just a ridiculous set up. It is, at times, bound to bring the integrity of the league and certain clubs/individuals into question. If Smith and Dowd were (for example) Neil Black and David Clarke, I'm sure the same doubts/worries/suspicions would be surfacing elsewhere.

If you are maybe it's time to show the proof.....otherwise your suggesting that Tony Smith is lying on a public forum.....

Come on Forney pull your head out your hairy bum, you would be saying exactly the same thing if Neil Black was the chairman and this had happened to the Panthers.

It looks like they're automatically reviewing any game or match penalty, which Dowd didn't get. Maybe we should've asked for them to have a look.

Mmmm,so Tyson Marsh gets a one game ban for a nasty hit from behind, whilst Omar Pacha gets two games for abusing a referee ?
That doesn't seem right......but then again,Marsh's hit was on Lloyd so rather than a ban he should probably have been given an extra weeks wages instead !

That was my thoughts exactly too Shorty.
To be honest though it's a pretty bad hit.......if Cardiffs next but one game had been against Sheffield then Marsh would no doubt have got TWO games !

Wonder how Simmsey, Smith and O'Connor would feel if it was roles reversed. This is why smith should run one or the other, for me he should quit as league chairman and let someone else run the league. It's just too fishy and makes the league look stupid. Or just let GM or NB run the league, see how they like that in the land of Steel

The position of league chairman,if we were to have an independent person comes down to money again.
Remember Eamon Convery ? Well basically, all he did was sit in an ivory tower part time and draw a very very big fat salary for doing not a lot.......so he eventually got the bullet !

I did read what you put and your suggestion, between the lines, was that TS has some influence over these decisions.
Having been witness to somebody very nearly losing their house and their job over comments on a public forum regarding a certain chairman of a football club, you have to be very careful what is written these days on places like this. That was my point.
As for how DOPS actually works.....I don't know.
