some people have more money than sense.. Some people would have more money than sense if they had £1.26. That's one expensive shirt, though, granted.

If they've earnt their money, then surely they have the right to spend it as they wish? Whilst I wouldn't spend that much on a shirt, I'm sure if I did have the cash, I may be more inclined to do so.

If its for a good cause and people can afford it then why not?

Dont think this one was for Charity, this was just selling off the shirts, The Charity funds ended for this season, but have already started for next season with £260 already in the fund from the medal

Don't see the logic behind paying £1000+ for a signed shirt.
Player sponsorship is £350-400 per season and you get a signed shirt as part of the deal.

Why would anything have been said about Grimaldi? According to Twitter Farmer shouted 'Burn it' about Grimaldi's shirt and Corey said he was 'the worst person in the world'

All a bit OTT and unseemly, Corey must've been taking exaggeration lessons from Gary.

We don't know what happened behind the scenes so how can we say if it's OTT or not. It is a little unprofessional to be fair.
All I know is that when he left the news feed was: Grimaldi returns to the ice and the next day: Grimaldi moves on. Or words to that effect.
For them to of written the first story they must of thought all was well. Whatever happened it happened very quickly. 24 hours for a breakdown in relations.
I heard from someone I think is reasonably connected that originally we were to have him for the season.

Someone tweeted what was said about Grimaldi at the auction, Grimaldi has replied with: 'not even the tip of the ice berg people!'
I doubt we will ever find out what happened behind the scenes but obviously something kicked off.

We don't know what happened behind the scenes so how can we say if it's OTT or not. I think we can safely say that Joe Grimaldi isn't the worst person in the world, whatever happened. I wasn't a fan (far from it), but it always appeared like Joe was being Joe, perhaps Corey should do his homework a bit better next time.

That's a fair point Yotes. OK the 'worst person in the world' is OTT.
We will never know. Something's should stay behind closed doors.

In fairness to Corey, he wasn't going to say anything about Grimaldi.
Gary literally asked him when Grimaldi's shirt came up...
"Corey, do you wanna start the bidding?"
And he also said "it's Rob Farmers favourite player".
Typical Gary, but I think it's all been blown out of proportion. People are going on more about this than when Corey axed Danny Meyers!

Should not be said in front of fans anyway to avoid any problems.
Moving on, if anyone wins a 'Gold and White PO' shirt auctioned by Elite can I get a photo for my collection? Have secured a CUP one but if anyone can also help with a GOLD general season one also that would be great.I STILL have someone who can help re season Gold but they live in Liverpool...yikes.Please PM me...I take pics of them (worn by someone) for records purposes etc....

I recall a rival player tweeting on Grimaldi's arrival of what a 'bad egg' he was.
