Panthers fans cheering when Fata got hit in the face From a deflected shot, and then laughing when he couldn't stand up behind his bench. That's disgusting. Thankfully a minority.

At the beginning of March when this thread was started I thought people were just moaning for the sake of moaning when it came to people leaning forward in their seats. That was until I spent the weekend unable to see 1/4 of the ice because of a line of people leaning forward onto the concrete railing above the doors to the arena.

I would like the doors locked, closed, whatever, as soon as the puck is dropped. Stops people walking up and down stairs, making others stand to let them by. Every period over the weekend the numpties in front of me came from the bar, with 6 mins gone one the clock. To make it worse they would talk to every one on the way up taking there time without a care in the world for others, so everyone sat behind them missed the game they paid to watch. Have a drink, but don't ruin my game because you are incapable of planning how long it takes to get to the bar and back to your seat.

Lots of people annoyed me with that this weekend - I mean, who pays all that money for a ticket and then suddenly turns up with 10 minutes left of the final period having not been in their seat all game?? But I often get back to my seat late in games during the season, and it's nothing to do with planning, but to do with how bad the NIC staff are. You should easily be able to get a drink and get back to your seat in 15 minutes, but it's often impossible at the NIC.

Funniest comments I heard:
During the warm up for the final, a woman behind me said "don't you give our pucks away" to Nate diCassmiro who was giving some kids pucks. Don't think she understood it wasn't a Panthers home game
And someone trying to start a "nothing goes with orange chant" hit them where it hurts - the colour of their shirts.
Couple of minor things. I dislike Drew Fata as much as anyone but I really didn't like the cheers for him getting hurt. I will get mad if someone feigns an injury but not for genuine things like that. But credit to our fans fr turning up in numbers.

I agree, I had some idiots in front of me all cheering when Fata was hit in the face, don't get me wrong I don't like him one bit but nobody likes to see anyone injured, especially a potential head injury.
We also had this obnoxious woman sitting in front of us who decided to stand up and would not sit down, everyone was shouting at her to sit down and she just gave us a flick of the finger on each hand. She was a Panther supporter, I guess every team has idiots who support them.
My friends from Fife were also abused by a Panther supporter cause a few kids were cheering for Sheffield during the Braehead match. They said the guy was quite unpleasant and aggressive. It was only when a large Fife fan spoke to him that he curbed it, always hate bullies.
Overall I am always grateful it is a minority and it is heartening to see so many fans of different teams talking and laughing. There also seems to be a few interteam relationships as I witnessed a Coventry and Panther fans holding hands and another set from Coventry and Cardiff holding hands. I also know of a couple who one supports Sheffield and another Nottingham and a couple one who supports Fife and another who supports Breahead. You would not get that in many sports.

A very good and largely entertaining play off weekend, apart from two things.
EIHL...........please get rid of the utterly meaningless 3rd/4th place game,it's half paced garbage which the players don't care about.
PANTHERS FANS.................please stop disrespecting our national anthem by singing "we hate Steelers",it's totally unnecessary, utterly cringeworthy and it's also downright embarrassing.

I think its about time the arena stepped in to stop it, as requests amongs fans are not taken notice of. Being a bit dim isn't a crime though, is it? It's just silly and juvenile. Bloke near me at the last 3 home games does it, also refers to Ryan as "Fishboy" at a loud volume, for some utterly inexplicable reason. But he also can't tell who's on the puck most of the time, so it's probably not deliberate.

Most arenas ask the crowd to stand up for the anthem, but we do not. Other arenas also ask to remove caps.
I doubt anything would happen, unless they said something along the lines of "please be upstanding, and respectful for our National Anthem"

All it needs is Panthers to make a statement saying offenders disrespecting the anthem like that will be noted and asked to leave and it would soon stop.
What the thick morons who do it probably don't realise is that it would only serve to fire up the Steelers players a little bit more and probably makes ours think what a poor show of respect form our fans.

It struck me a few seasons ago that there are some people at games who can't stand for the anthem, e.g. those in wheelchairs. So I simply introduce the anthem without asking people to stand.

Here's an idea,..I was at a game in the States where the announcer asked " Please stand if you are able for the National anthem"

No problem with singing 'we hate steelers.' Just a bit of fun. Doesn't fuss me, more swizzled when people don't stand tbh.
People who walk around during play should be shot, bet they don't do that at the opera.
