With all the injuries I am curious to know who is actually playing this weekend.
I am especially curious to know if Kwall is back, he always raises his game for games against Shuff, so ideally I'd love to see him back between the pipes.

Not had much from HQ about the state of the injuries yet this week. Can tell you there are/were 102 seats left in the bowl for Sunday though Last week we were short: Kowalski, Henley, Werner, Capraro, Wren and Salters Wren played last night, albeit in a cage. Henley was reported to leave training early today. Salts was seen with heavy strapping yesterday. Werner I think we can assume is defo out. Kowalski and Capraro, anyone's guess. Obviously add our new guy too.

Werner & Capraro are scheduled to return for the Continental Cup, Wren didn't play last night, it was Betteridge in Wrens jersey! Wren has injured his ankle & said he would be out for a couple of weeks!
Henley skated during warm up last night but didn't play, so he's a possibility at the weekend, Salters has an infected hand so is doubtful! Nothing mentioned about kwall, but he's a straight swap for Conway!
If the new guy is in, Sarri will be dropped!

Henley did leave training before any of the other 7 on the ice. Started around 11.30 and Henley went off around 12.15ish while the rest carried on till 1. Henley left the arena around 12.35. I sound like a stalker lol but when the chance to see them train is there might as well jump on it. Henley did look quite decent while on the ice, moved around fairly quick though there were points where puck control was off and he seemed to hesitate but nothing more or less than you would expect. Bit weird that there was only 8 players on the ice and Strachan took the session. Guessing they were all hungover from Clarke's after party

Perhaps the injuries aren't so bad and the on again/off again reporting is a carefully orchestrated ruse to lull Sheffield into a false sense of security?
How amusing would it be if a full strength Panthers skated out at the weekend despite rumours to the contrary?

I'm sure we will be preparing as though you will be at full strength.

Salters hand was in plaster last night, so I think it is more than an infection

Salters hand was in plaster last night, so I think it is more than an infection That 'infection' was diagnosed and released by the club within hours which seems a bit quick to me, I'd be very surprised if he hasn't broken his hand, never known a plaster cast on a cut hand.

So sounds like we should have 11 imports playing this weekend.
Hopefully something like....
Jensen Loyns Ryan
Kalus Francis Lacho
Clarke Benedict Capraro
Boxill
Henley Lee
Makela Norton
Weaver Murray
Kowalski / Conway
Green
Hopefully take care of the Steelers this weekend and get the rest back in time for Italy.

I honestly think that the biggest injury that's affected us is Henley's. I know that 1 player does not make the team, however since he was injured we have not been as physical and dominating. Once he's back I think a lot will change. Similarly to last year when Lepine and Wilson were both signed

Kwall, Salters and Wren didnt train on the ice today. Kalus didnt either as he is yet to arrive. Kwall had an bandaged foot and was with Salters watching from the bench.
Werner was training but went off after an hour. He looked in pain the whole time, didnt seem to put alot of weight on his leg and began limping as he went off.
Henley trained on the ice for the full 1hr 30mins, looked fairly good but also seemed to take the weight of his foot from time to time.

The way CN has been talking very recently, it looks as though someone is getting gassed once all of the forwards are fit. If Wren's injury turns out to be serious then I guess it makes CN's mind up for him. I really hope that Henley makes it in time for this weekend - we've missed him immensely and would miss him even more this weekend if Salters (as sounds likely) fails to recover in time

Have these players gone soft? Simon Hunt scored 6 goals against Edinburgh with a cast on his thumb and his glove taped on so it wouldnt fall off whilst he was playing.
Old school hockey.
