17 games still to play, but I thought i'd have a look at how it maps out between ourselves and Giant (though Steelers are certainly still not out of it yet.
We both have home games against: Coventry Braehead Steelers Cardiff
We both have away games at: Cardiff Coventry Sheffield Braehead Dundee Edinburgh Cardiff
6 Remaining games stack up as:
Panthers: H- Fife H- Sheffield A- Fife A - Hull A - Giants A - Giants
Giants: H - Caps H - Hull H - Coventry H - Cardiff H - Panthers H - Panthers
Advantage Giants at the moment, I would say.

All home wins are a must for me. Playing away is always tough but I believe we can do it. The Giants weekend could potentially be HUGE !

Plenty of banana-skins there - for both teams - but yes the double-header in Belfast could be crucial.

I can see this being settled in Belfast at the double header.

I'd happily take 2 points each over the Belfast double header. All we have to do is match them. The Steelers will be the decides of the league for me

I've been saying the last few weeks that the double header in Belfast will be the decider I think as I honestly think they are the main threat at the minute so that weekend will be crucial I think we need to try and get 3 points out of it

We're very away heavy at the tail end of the season (8 from last 10), I'd have liked a few more home games in there.

i know were 2 points ahead but i still think with the run in they have Belfast are going to be tough to stop.
All those out there that thought itwasnt a problem losing to Edinburgh, just think how much stronger we would be looking with those 2 points in the bag.

I like our shape away from home, I think we have a good road game Obviously a lot has changed since I used to see the Panthers in Newcastle nearly every time they played up here, but I always thought the road game could go either way - utter brilliance or downright disastrous. Sounds like the majority of the kinks have been ironed out, but any slip ups (like losses to Edinburgh) could change the entire landscape.

In the last 11 games Panthers play 8 away from home and included in the 11 is Cardiff twice, Sheffield twice and Belfast twice (both away). This doesn't include "Cup distractions" either which could be another 6 tough games in total to chuck in somewhere.
Seen Giants' last game? IF it goes that far and Steelers have cemented 3rd in regards to the playoffs (or however it works, can't bloody remember) you might as well start crying into your pint before the face off. You know full well that they'll roll over just to see Panthers not win the league.

The 7 remaining games look in our favour if you ask me? We've had decent results in Belfast and they've struggled against Blaze this year. Nothing's taken for granted now though...

Belfast still have to play Blaze and Devils 3 times each. They seem to just be scraping past everyone at the moment.

Well Panthers certainly have the easiest run in with only 6 games against our conference and 7 against the Northern teams. Belfast have 10 against our conference and only 3 against the Northern and all those 3 are away games too. Sheffield have 8 against our conference and 5 against the Northern, including a very nasty road trip of 3 away games in 3 nights......and against Nottingham/Belfast/Dundee. Wow that is some tough road trip.

Wow that is some tough road trip. Agree that's a very tough road trip for Sheffield, but Nottingham's three in three nighter is a very tough one as well. In my view 'the Northern teams' are no pushover. The whole thing is too close to call, which is how it should be of course.
