Its a no brainer.....if he wants to come back then sign him. Perfect fit, class act, great team guy and only good for the dressing room.We need a sniper because Clarkie is struggling, one that will get that vital goal in a game like the recent loss to Edinburgh. We have been trying to sign him for a few weeks now so if he comes back to Britain theres only one place he's playing and it ain't Sheffield ! That is good news. Would hate to see him play for a rival and for me he would be an upgrade on Galivan.

Beau won't play for a rival team in the EIHL.
I don't think we should cut anybody, theres bound to be injuries at some point and i can't think of a better guy to join this years team.

I love Beauregard, absolutely love him, but I think there are a few rose tinted specs on here.
In his first season with us he scored 26 goals, and got 14 of them by the end of October. After that he had spells including two goals in 15 games and five in 24, the sort of form which if his name was Clarke would have some on here shouting 'lazy' and calling for his release.
Beauregard was a class act, but like all forwards he endured lean spells, a bit like Galivan did early on. You just have to keep plugging away and the goals will come.

Can't argue with those stats Stef but another stat is that Galivan has 10 goals in 29 games. DAB's overall record is a hell of a lot better than that. Edit. After checking the stats DAB scored at more than twice the rate of PG with 0.69 goals per game compared with 0.34 goals per game for Galivan.

I've never seen anyone appear from nowhere in acres of space like he used to. I had to watch that clip three times to see where he came from. There's no one within yards of him when he's in front of goal. I'd love to have seen him and Jade on a line.

If he'd be happy being a bit part player then why not, but from a personal point of view, no matter how much of a big game player he has been for us in the past. On recent form, I wouldn't drop any of our import forwards for him in the squad. As someone pointed out, McAslan probably damaged his rep when he returned, so don't want DAB to do the same.

I seem to recall that Clarke is on the first year of a 3 year contract. With regard to carrying a spare import - thats CN and I cannot see NB spending money to fund another one.

Also he is a Brit an DAB is an import. I think he knew that though but seems to want to use every thread for his vendetta against Clarke who is not far off a point a game and had 2 assists in the win over Belfast as reward for a hard working committed performance.

no other player in the eihl would of scored this last season I love Beau as much as the next guy, but that it a ridiculous statement. By going to the net, he's basically just doing his job. As Thommo says in commentary, it's the first time in the game that Cardiff make a mess of the break down and that's what gives him the space. Once the puck comes to him, DAB keeps his composure and comes up with a very tidy finish. But to say that no other EIHL player could have done last . . . jeez. Take the glasses off.

Absolutely... DAB may well have been one of the best we've seen at pulling that kind of move (his positioning was amongst the best I've ever seen) but he's far from the only player who could do that.

Maybe as he thinks Clarke is the spawn of satan he classes him as an import

Obviously I didn't mean swap him . I meant if dab was on the team I'd play dab over Clarke . As for removing an import , could we take Corey off the roster and just be a coach . Have I said something bad about the prodigal son who's been struggling this year compared to others

Have I said something bad about the prodigal son who's been struggling this year compared to others League quotas are based on players dressed to play. Neilson doesn't need to be 'taken off the roster' as a player, Panthers just have to abide by league quotas of eleven imports maximum dressed to play on match night. In theory they can sign as many imports as they want.

Have I said something bad about the prodigal son who's been struggling this year compared to others We don't need to take Corey off the roster. We would still have to drop another import to accomodate DAB. And dropping Clarke would mean we're a plater down for no reason! So as well as Corey we would need to drop either Beckett, Werner, Lepine, Fox, Galivan, Wilson,Ling, Benedict, Francis, Graham or Kowalski. We are top of the league with the style this team plays. Bringing Beau in may change that. If we were way off the pace then I'd understand but we're playing well now.

Theres something every year that occurs around this time and alters our season. This is going to be a MASSIVE 50/50 decision if Corey is debating to bring him back. It'll either make or break our season if he comes back. I'm PRAYING he'll do the right thing.
Im on the side that says to let DAB stay a legend in our eyes and leave it as that. We have a strong team that is top of the league and it could upset the apple cart.
