Not having such a hot year in the CHL. www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=19545As much as I rate Beau, I think we got the best 2 seasons we could out of him: I'd rather we kept those memories rather than a stint back that may not live up to our very high expectations.

Very sad about this - a real gent. Now if had happened before we had signed Wilson a sniper like DAB would have been a good addition.

A Panthers hero, but let's not mess with our current formula.

I would have liked him at the start of the season but not now. The team is settled an Wilson looks good, why interrupt it ?. Unless he wants to sit on the side and wait for a chance to jump in but I doubt that very much. Great player but not at this moment in time for me.
One question how well have returning players done coming back mid season. I can think of molin and mcaslan that didn't particularly shine from what I remember.

He'd be perfect , can't compare him to others who have returned as he's only missed half a season with us and not years away .

Who would we release? Galaivan? Graham? Maybe a few weeks ago but both have come on hugely in recent weeks.
Go with another spare import? Maybe but it could be disruptive to chop and change and wont help the mood in the dressing room. Plus in my opinion it would make us top heavy with forwards.

As much as I'd love to see DAB back in a Panthers jersey... no, not now. Whether he's still on top form or not, I think that the possible negatives of bringing him back (and releasing someone else?) outweigh the possible advantages. If Sunday's 6-1 victory over Belfast should have taught us anything, it's that we appear to have a strong and settled roster now. Look at the players who were, earlier in the season, being criticised as being not up to the job... Galivan and Graham especially. Both have really woken up, and whereas Graham for one was really exasperating me, now I can't see enough of the guy.

I can see another Elite club snapping him up if we dont. A few weeks ago I would have said yes but not now, the team is settled and playing well.

I reckon he is Sheffield bound and he will be useless for them, purely due to Finnertys coaching

DAB has said before he wouldn't play for them - as did Lepine.

Money talks and so does a job. Players always say what they want you to hear but when push comes to shove its their lively hood thats at stake. Players need jobs doesnt matter who its for.

But there's also the fact he only went back to America to be with his family otherwise he'd have been playing here. I think people are jumping to conclusions.

we d be mad not to want him, a natural scorer, they ll be games this year where things are tight and panthers have trouble in front of net but DAB has proved hes the man for the big occasion

we have got the best roster we have had in years, why over load the import forward area ? just play with what we have got, this roster has got us to the top of the league why change it ? Lets just enjoy the memories of the legend that is DAB,would be horrible if he did come back and couldnt cut it any more. We have a nice mixture now and it doesnt matter who scores the goals. we have scored most and conceded least and are top of the conference and league. If it aint broke dont fix it !!!!!!
