Francis is my player of the seasin due to his attitude and work ethic on the ice however i would imagine a lot would be down to the uni deal he is on this year. Is there a 2nd year of his course to do? Will Panthers pay him what hes worth without the uni deal as a sweetener?

He was very reserved about next season, he wouldn't even comment on whether he would like to be back last time I spoke to him. He is defiantly someone that should be sat down in a locked room and not let out until we have his signature on a contract. Top player, with a great work-rate

Hey you! Stop spoiling my fun with your well informed sensible posts.... Sorry about that ftm! Don't get me wrong, I too would be delighted to see such a talented British player in a Panthers shirt, but while he's got a decent shot at top level College hockey; a subsidised degree, and potentially some lucrative Pro contracts in North America at the end of it, he won't be back. Right then. As you have spoiled my Prince rmour. I have now heard that Aaron Nell will take up that space.

King was seen at the Jerusalem pub with GM. don't know what that means, I'd imagine he just wanted to see more of Britain before he left?

The source was my mates Dad was picking his daughter up from something in town, saw Kings Steelers Car, and looked over at that Jerusalem pub and saw him speaking to GM. Nothing to do with any steelers fans.

No. Since GM doesn't sign any players.

It may seem odd, but there may well be a very legitimate (non "King to Panthers" related) reason for their meeting. If King has been a previous target for the Panthers (and by previous i mean they wouldn't bring him in for next season but was a good fit at the time), they may well have kept in touch over time and just fancied a beer, most grown men like to do that don't they?
I wouldn't read too much into it just yet but obviously i'm in no position to know if there's anything remotely true/false about that particular rumour for definite.

Why would a sacked Steeler player still have access to a Steeler car?

apart from one tweet that ive seen where he said he had hoped to return to sheffield next year, he too has kept quiet about the reasons for departure. Sounds like the 2week paid notice, and retention of the steeler-mobile may be hush-money, so to speak? Maybe?

I can't remember what day it was, but it was before April 1st. I was at my mates house when his dad rang him asking which player steelers 45 was, cos he had seen his car and saw him with GM but didn't know who it was. But then my mate told him it was King. So there you go.
