Haven't seen any rumours so far this year and dodgy and unfounded rumours are all that keep me going during the off season! What have you heard?

strong rumour about rhett gordon to become panthers coach and neilson to france I would be both very surprised and disappointed if either of those were true. Gordon has, as far as I know, little or no coaching experience whatsoever, and came in with about one-third of the season left (Neilson may have been a rookie coach, but at least he'd had a full season here before even becoming an assistant coach, and 2 years before becoming head coach!). IF Neilson leaves, we ought to be doing a hell of a lot better than that. Where has this 'Rhett Gordon to coach Panthers' thing come from, anyway? We've been hearing it for a while... but is there anything to base it on apart from the fact that he's a new name to throw into the pot? As for Neilson going to France... why would he want to? By all accounts, if he did leave it would be returning to Canada - his kids' education allegedly being the big draw there. Remembering that he's now part of the GB national squad, that's an extra incentive for him to stay in this country for as long as he's not going back home to Canada.

I would hazard a guess that there's very little chance of Prince returning to Nottingham at the moment, particularly with the type of numbers he's posted in the NAHL.
Scouts from NCAA Division 1 teams apparently already have him on their radar, so unless he fails to pick up a spot in a top US College team, you certainly won't see him icing for the Panthers next season.

Hey you! Stop spoiling my fun with your well informed sensible posts.... Sorry about that ftm! Don't get me wrong, I too would be delighted to see such a talented British player in a Panthers shirt, but while he's got a decent shot at top level College hockey; a subsidised degree, and potentially some lucrative Pro contracts in North America at the end of it, he won't be back.

Would like all to be true Would be happy with that, but the main name i would like to hear coming back apart from kwall is Matt Francis that guy is pure class and a work horse. You will be hard pushed to find another player like him.
