Just wanted to say what a lovely group of really nice, friendly, approachable guys we have in our team. They signed shirts, photos, arms ;D, and chatted to fans all evening. Thanks very much guys And thanks too NPSC for arranging the evening.

Yes, it was a great night. Thanks to everyone who made it all possible.
A special mention for JC who, as always, chatted to each person as if s/he was the only people who mattered.

hate to throw a spanner in the works here from all the back slapping but what does it matter that the players are nice guys and like socialising? If i had a choice i would rather they concentrate on winning the league afterall noone accused brebant of being a nice guy yet look how much he won!!

I would wager that the players 'hate' these events and do not go along of their own free will

My other half and I wanted to be there last night, even made an attempt to get there. After spending over 90 mins in the car (15mins from home) and being unable to find the car park, let alone a car parking space (Long queue) and not wishing to do another tour of the roadworks around that area , we decided the best thing was to go back home. Would have thought that those in charge that use the city centre a lot would have changed the date , knowing how many roads were being dug up around the Theatre Square.

I get REALLY seriously pi**ed off with the constant slating of the club by certain elements. They can't do bloomin right - for doing wrong. Do you really think that these 'Meet the fans nights' do any harm?. The players trained earlier in the day. This event was organised for 7.30pm. Do you still want the players to be training at that time of night?. Paul Adey ''C'mon boys...ONLY another 12 hours till we call it a day...I WANNA SEE MOOOOOOORE sweat..I wanna see ya BLEEEEEEEEED!'' Then you'd all wonder why the players were bug**red the next match!. What do you suggest the players should be doing at 7.30pm on a Tuesday?. Just coz you preffer to sit in front of the TV watching Eastenders, don't expect everyone to. Paul Adey ''Right never mind tatics..What the hell we gonna do about Martin Fowler?. His cheating can't be allowed to continue...Think of poor Sonia. And what about Alfie?. Maybe he could hook up with Sonia?. Now we just have to get Jim Brenan sorted....coz Dot can't have much longer left. C'mon boys...THINK''. These events are good PR for the club..the fans enjoy them, & judging by the players faces, I reckon they did too. I can't really see an event like this harming any chances of a trophy can you?

VERY well said, Wiggers..... agree in all respects.
I don't usually go along to these events - I'm not very good at socialising at the best of times, and even less so with the Panthers players for some reason - but that doesn't mean I don't recognise the value of these events. If nothing else, it helps to remind us that the players are more than just statistics on legs - that they are PEOPLE, not objects or possessions - and probably helps them to get an idea of how much the fans care.
Ye gods, I sometimes think if we applied a 'Moan-o-meter' to every fanbase in the country, we'd top the scale!

I parked at the Moat House car park, just behind the theatre. Half empty car park, no traffic, no roadworks... Unfortunately, the people I was meeting up with decided to park at Trinity twix

Therapy - Please cease and desist with the posting of negativity just for posting's sake. Many fans like these events, like to meet the players and find out what they're like as people ... Much more healthy than sitting in front of a computer screen all evening thinking up new 'witty' put downs. You don't have to like them, but stop trying to put a downer on others enjoying themselves.

I enjoy the player meets as much as the next fan, I only said that in my opinion, the players would much rather NOT take part in these events, and as i say thats my opinion from talking to the players. Witty putdowns, not my style, say what i see is all. Someone else started the downer on this thread i only added to it.
