I`m gobsmacked that no one seems to have mentioned Jade`s little indescretion when he was interviewed on ice after the game on sunday. Now i know it was not even in the same ballpark as the tubby brummies comment but it was a naughty word to say in public. Didnt bother me in the slightest cos i was feeling the same but you know how some folk are!

Was it just where we were standing then? I honestly thought that when GM asked him how he felt he said something that rhymes with "ducking awesome" Had my ears gone?

As long as it's quoted alongside an 'allegedly', then i'd be happy having it put on here once.

I think Gary told him off on mic straight after he said it. Something along the lines of "we don't use that language Jade"

difference between his and Simms was that Jade wasnt insulting anyone. Crude and wrong but it didnt insult a group of people or attack them

Heat of the moment, forgot it was live, caught up in the celebrations...who cares?!
I laughed it off when i heard it, anyone who was offended by it is an idiot and needs to lighten up.

Besides isn't the punishment is a slap on the wrists and home without dinner isn't it?
I bet Jade didn't have a post game meal so that's half of it done!

You cannot have double standards. Professional sportsmen should know better. I would not wish Panthers players to be in the same category as Simms.

Dave Simms: Calculated offensive remark by a club official aimed at the fans of a rival organisation.
Jade Galbraith: Spur of the moment offensive remark by a player expressing delight having just won the Play-Offs.
They aren't the same offence at all. One was designed to be offensive, the other an expression of victory.

Guys, shut up. If it was any other Ayer this thread would not exist. People slip up and swear or say things they are not supposed to on tv and radio ALL the time, it happens, it's not worth discussing. There is a difference between a slip up and a Pre meditated, shouted swear word, at at a group of people in a derogatory way.

This is a forum where people come to discuss things. I happen to agree with all your points, but maybe in future you shouldn't tell people to shut up.

Although I understand what you are saying - me personally I wouldnt take offence from either comment from either guy Pre-meditated or spur of the moment its not actually going to offend me as an adult I felt Simms got hammered too much on here and in same way not too worried about what Jade said either If I had a choice about what my young daughter and son had to listen to I would be even more upset about Jades choice of words than Simms to be honest (but obviously I would prefer they heard neither) They should both know better - they know its a family sport but worse things will happen

He has not got away with it - it would appear that it was picked up by SKY and the commentator was deeply offended and has raised an official complaint - if Jade returns next year expect at least a six game ban

I'm not a fan of Jade but give him some slack - slip of the tongue most of us have done it at one time or another
