Good to see Kowalski back - he looked sore all game. I'm not sure what to make of tonight - entertaining game but we shouldnt have to go to PS to beat the Stars.
Zion needs to be told a few home truths IMO. Absolute liabilty - hopefully Strachs and Corey can drill that into him. We miss Danny so badly atm - you never notice what he brings to the team til he's gone - I think he adds a lot of stabilty and confidence to us.
Penner on Latulippe is my highlight of the century. He chipped away all night and got what he deserved IMO. How it was a game pen is beyond me - but at least we got the better end of the trade for losing a player for once!

Lets face it here guys, we have a team here in disarray. We are a two man team (Craig and Danny) and the rest are a bunch of individuals that we mistake for a team. We are going to win nothing this season, lets get that into our heads and stop living on false hope.
We deserved nothing, absolutely nothing from that. Twice I screamed at the team after we conceded goals because we were that p*ss poor tonight, how on earth we are going to cope with 3 games in 3 nights next weekend is beyond me. 2 in 2 is going to be hard enough to take personally, I'm probably going to be grey by the end of it and I'm not even in my twenties!
The good:- Kowalski - Despite conceding five, he shown yet again why he is the top goalie in the league. Myers - Showed heart all game, well taken penalty shot.
The bad:- Beauregard - Looks way out of his depth, not necessarily all his fault, but bar the penalty shot, he was invisible. Galbraith - Has a natural ability without a shadow of a doubt, but his attitude stinks and I'm starting to change my opinion on him.
The Ugly - Neilson - Looks clueless out there, crap decision making, crap timing, and again costs us a goal by being in the box. Zion - Well... whats to say? Anyone willing to pay for his flight along with me? Complete and utter waste of an import slot.
Tactics were also poor tonight, the only tactic that worked tonight was to release jade for that breakaway goal. You cannot have Zion & Norton paired together on a defensive pairing, Zions too lazy and if I'm honest with you, Norton just ain't good enough at the moment to cut it in this league.
Kowalski, Lepine, Myers, Clarke and Lee are my stayers this year... I'd say bye bye to the rest, and that's including the coach, because I'm afraid to say, he's the main problem.. he's got too many friends in this team (a la zion, beauregard, jade etc.) or players who are too up each others arse like Ryan & Bellamy. If Neilson goes, all those players mentioned will no doubt follow him out the door, and I have to say, good riddance.
Rant Over.

I wasn't at the game but just because panthers didn't play well doesn't mean it wasn't entertaining, i was following the game by coverage on TCW and that was bloody exciting, the game was like a yo-yo, anyway we got the 2 points and that is what is important. If we can win our next 4 games somehow and take 2 points away from the Giants in the double header weekend then suddenly we will actually again be in a very good position

After a shocking performance like that, how on earth can 2000 people actually clap them off the ice? Unbelievable.

If I see Brent Hughes un marked on the back post again I was going to spit! gifted him a hat trick tonight. We concede at least one of those every week, they should trademark that goal. I hope Strachan was taking notes. Another rubbish performance, Dundee didn't have much about them but it was enough for us. We play like that on Friday and Saturday and we're gonna get killed. Twice

apart from saying it was Hicks can anybody else explain the game missconduct on Penner - should have been 10 mins at most - noticed Tait & Simon both got 10 mins for checking to the head @ Shuff - Carson effect -

Is it the end of January when teams can no longer sign p;ayers? if it is Zion, DAB, McDonald can go now, try and sign others to take their place, in Zion's case, nothing would be better than him, at least the players would know thet would have to do all the work.

I was frustrated as hell at times but I've been to 1 dundee game before and we beat them something stupid and I was more entertained tonight than then

Is roughing a major penalty??
I can report, there was chocolate thrown on at the end.
Tait and simon should see multi game bans then, as the president has been set, won't hold my breath.

Is roughing a major penalty?? That's rather up to Hicks, assuming we play IIHF rules with a variation on fighting only.

I'm not pretending to know the rules, lol!
The refs should either separate them or get out of the way IMO.
I'll take our enforcer being thrown out if he takes their best player with him.
What was with the Lino dropping the puck when none of our players were ready? is that in the rules? I though it was just 20/20?

Seeing as both Tait and Simon's penalties were 2+10 for checking from BEHIND, not the head, then I doubt any extra will be called.

I was really frustrated by this game. I usually cheer and support and get behind the boys buts its hard to get behind them when they are sooo awful.
I know someone said corey was on the ice all night but that doesnt mean he played well or added to the team play. I train Managers and it isnt about how long a day they work its about how they plan, manage and motivate a team. I dont know what ocrey is doing but I know I saw another disjointed game where the team were playing as a group of individuals and not as a team.
Heres to a change for the better where I can get back to screaming and shouting ...

TBF I'm going off the EIHL website so they could quite easily have been called for anything! We won 5-2 in Cov btw.

If anyone enjoyed that game, good for them. If I wasn't in public I probably would have wept at it.
The DJ should have played 'comfortably numb' that would have summed it up for me.

Never seen that before? Bit harsh, we were the home team, makeing the last change, there wasn't a great delay, no more than normal. Lino's aren't usually in a hurry to drop it. Bit petty IMO, not very sporting.

Typically I missed the spearing. Surely a game penalty is harsh, but look on the bright side, could have seen a match penalty! It was penner!

I actually didn't think the game was that bad, reasonably entertaining and I'm more than a little relieved we got both points. I think people are doing a disservice to Dundee though, they aren't the team that was getting spanked early in the season and are now more than competitive. It's pretty obvious a lot of our guys are struggling with form and that happens to every team, hopefully we can build on this win and get ourselves in the mood for a road win tomorrow night and two huge games next weekend.
Two players I am starting to get rather bored with though are Zion and McDonald. Zion has the ability but for some reason is just not performing at even 50% and McDonald doesn't look like he is upto EIHL standard, looks very average and for our only import centre that is just not good enough. Zion must be on a top wage and if we could get a steady d-man in for him and spend the extra on a better centre I'd be very tempted to do so.
I was disappointed with the GM on Penner, I was expecting maybe a double minor penalty and possibly a ten min major but a GM was just unnecessary imo. On the couple of shifts he actually got he was throwing the body well and I'd like to see him on a better line, I honestly think he could be our Brad Voth if used right.
