Is that mediocre CHL netminder as in, all CHL netminders are mediocre?

No as in a low end never done/won anything CHL netminder, Apart from the Robber we have never broken the bank to sign a decent championship winning NM and i dont think we will start now. I always thought the re-signing of KSP was an easy option and i have a bad feeling we will do the same with his replacement.

I think we've already signed Andrew Penner Our games will be extended to four hours. If anybody goes anywhere near him, all hell will break loose!

Some of Penner's numbers don't looked too amazing but he has played quite a lot of AHL games. To me he looks slightly better than KSP on paper...

One of my favourite goalies of the old super league was Joaquin Gage who played for Ayr. The last few years he has been playing for Brunico in Italy though Elite Prospects has him down as retired. He is 36 now but has 23 NHL games under his belt for the Oilers having last played for them in 2000/01 winning 2 of the 5. Vastly experienced at a high level and could probably make another season with lesser earnings on a 1 year contract.

Too much of a risk for me. ot so much on the age front but if he's been windng down to retirement is he really what we'd want as a number one starting NM?

He's quite clearly not mediocre, but I'm sure if the tables were turned and Jaeger had signed for Panthers plenty of Blaze fans would say he was.

Pidge, name me the last Panthers NM that had a wealth of experience at a high level had back stopped a championship team and had a proven record of winning.

So if this jaeger is quality, why has he only played at CHL level recently, he may have a few echl games but the standard of the chl is lower than this league. would u say Andrew penner was better if you knew he d played plenty of AHL games and hes won a trophy in the CHL too, anyway id put my mortgage on it had this jaeger signed for us, he d be seen as average.. fact

And for the record i am not stating that i think all CHL goalies are mediocre, they, as all league have a varying level of NM but for some reason i think we will end up with a mid range goalie and not a top end CHL goalie like Coventry have.

Trevor Koenig will not be returning to Rouen, he's listed as not returning on their website. Elite Prospects also backs this up ( Koenig's Elite Propects Stats) I would quite honestly jump for joy if he joined Panthers.
