Its so strange that as we journey to Newcastle ( in a hours time) From somewhere I will find some hope that things will change for the better. Thats its just a bad dream and when I wake we will be a championship chasing team. On our journey home will those hopes be crushed - again

Agree completely with bangontheglass assessment of the game. It's beginning to follow a familiar pattern.....start strongly, but if chances aren't taken, then things start to go wrong. A terrible second period (both teams) and not much better in the 3rd. Even though we scored first (amazingly !), there was no real confidence that we could hang on......and sure enough.....
Still, had a good evening apart from the hockey ! I was wandering round with daughter #2 for much of the game and, in the 3rd period, a bloke with a Bison shirt asked me who I thought should be Panthers MoM, as he had to make the decision. Having not seen as much of the game as I would have liked (daughter #2 being a bit 'fractious' !), I decided, based on what I had seen, that Krajciek was probably the best choice......sound defensively and our main scoring threat !!! Just shaded Ellis. So, if any of you that went disagree.....apologies, but it was my fault. Having said that, I can't agree with an earlier 'poster' who thought it should have gone to Lindsay !!!

You started out like a house on fire and it was only Curtis that kept us in it for the first five or 10 minutes; Bison slowly worked their way into the game but drawing all the penalties in the first meant Panthers kept the momentum. And that about sums Panthers up. Our PP conversion must be woeful. If you can't score 5on3 you might as well go home.

I,for one,am seriously fed up with this now! I was looking at some footage on You Tube the other night,of the Giants from the Superleague days and Stevens looked awesome, scoring some great goals and plenty of them. Last season,Petriko scored a shed load of goals and was one of the best players on the Vipers roster. What`s different this year? Are the coaching tactics right? Or is it purely down to the players? IMO in one word "Centres" and our complete lack Most wingers will do OK with a good centre. Ask Les Strongman or more recently Shaun Sutter.

Very true,a number of times i have thought that we had lady luck on our side in some of those early wins I know what you mean there. I thought in that 4-2 win over the Giants that they had dominated play for long periods and we got lucky.

Blackburn Hawk, also agree totally that Krajceik should have been MOM, he was our most consistent player by a long shot!! Also has nothing to do with the fact that for the first time in years i've had a new shirt with his name on the back!!!

Well, what can i say what a long jouney home!! : Mr Lindsay, i have to say costs us at least a goal a game and to be honest tonight he cost us two, most of the evening he hadn't a clue where the puck was, but have to say he as at least learnt what his glove is for and actually made a couple of good glove saves. You should try spreading this on the garden. Then on second thought all the vitrol would probably neutralize any fertilizing effect.

After watching the team as a whole last night i was very dissapointed that only about 4 players were carrying the team.
Fittness was poor, awareness was shocking and not to mention grit and determination.
Its time to act now - mike and calle - stop talking and get on with what you are paid for. We know what you are both capable of on and off the ice, its time to show us you are both for real and you want this leauge as much as the fans.
Two names and i dont generally go on witch hunts with the exception of J sebastian last season but; - Evan lindsay - those glove saves he made were flare saves trying to make them appear to look harder than thay were and as for the goals he let in p**S poor.
Cory Nielson - I firmly belive that he is the best player on the team and his pasess are second to none - that is if every time he passed the puck he was aiming approx 2meters in front of his team mates stick, still amazed how he passes so accurately to the opposition. Sort it out or get out.
DC well done JK well done SSreally felt for you last night no support Mike Ellis
A good leader has to take a step back and look at his team you need to do this and take the blinkers off

Yeah, I've noticed he likes to show off a lot.

As long as he saves it, i don't care how flashy he makes it look

Guess I missed the mark there. That was meant to be sarcastic. I don't think Lindsay knows how to show off. Very cool businesslike fellow.
