Thank goodness we are off to Washington on Saturday. I will miss 4 Panthers games and can honestly say I am not in the slightest bit bothered.
If Keefe and Ted follow this shambles to every game this season they deserve the keys to the city.

You should have seen Mike Ellis tonight he came into the bar very very late and he looked a broken man honestly he just didn't know what to say I felt so sorry for him, OK I know some of you will say 'well he should look like that' but Mike needs our backing even now, he's 10 times the man we had in charge last year who couldn't care about us. Tonight was a better performance but sadly not enough. I'm as gutted as everyone else but we have to move on.

Ask for nothing & you will recive it in abundance. Why did I buy a ticket for tonigt? Why do I continue to care when it seems blatantly obvious people within the organisation do not. Enough is enough. Me and my hard earned cash are going elsewhere. Dad - your previous post has been deleted - YOU KNOW WHY

You, obviously, are not a real Panthers supporter.Real supporters watch through thick and thin and not just whenwe're winning. And if you thought that was drivel, you should have been in Sheffield on Friday.

As a netminder, I don't have a lot of time for Evan Lindsey - just don't think he's good enough for this league. However, in response to a previous post, I felt incredibly sorry for him in the last couple of minutes. He was desperate to get off the ice and, at one point, looked as though he was going to take the decision himself when he got no response from the bench. He was very frustrated.

People don't have to come to the matches. We have a city full of sporting teams. So Panthers need to reverse the trend. It's when people are going elswhere we have to worry. If we tell people that we dont want them because they are not as loyal as us, we would be left with a very poor attendance. It's coming to the point when people are glad for a break as we are not playing at home a while and people are glad to be going on holiday enforcing the ned for a change. So if good fans like that are saying such things, plus I feel it too. We can't call anyone. It's the team we support ,yes.but it's the team that we ask effort of and good play. You can lose evry match for as far as I am concerned as long as we ARE trying.Something we did in the 80's. Someone who has been coming 5 years said he is getting fed up, and I don't blame him.But he is a good fan too.
Everyone is a real supporter. Opinions count. We all have ours. And for what it's worth, some players given a contract are not worth their high status they are given. Wish we had more Clarkes and Meyers players who do endeavour to have heart.

Couldn't get there tonight but it looks as if Tessier had the last laugh again at the NIC. A week ago after a none too brilliant game he scores in the shoot out on our ice to keep Steelers in it in a league game Steelers eventually won. Tonight on our ice he scores the goal to dump us out of the CC. Seems someone had some motivation!!! Tessier is a class centre, something we are sadly lacking in. In fact I'd go as far as to say in terms of ability he's the best centre I've seen play for the Panthers, sadly it didn't last long enough. Although I probably saw Chick Zamick, I was too young to remember him.

i didnt come away from last nights upset at the loss i came away upset at the missed chance to get back on the rails.
Simoes imo deserved MOM by far, he did everything but score.
there are plenty of players lacking confidence in the net and in front of it, bare in mind confidence is a MAJOR thing for a netty, a million times more so than any other player but look at the other end, Emersic has two points, Shmyr has five and hes our enforcer!! so its not just anyones fault its a team thing.
i personally wouldnt of minded Shmyr giving Gustavson a rough time but that wasnt first priority.
this team is the same team who was top of the league only just over a month ago, nothings changed but one thing, the effect of losing three games in three days. the only thing we can do is keep supporting OUR team and help them get to the other side of this slump the only way we can, keep cheering.

I know there are many veteren Panther fans on here, but never the less, this is my fifth season and I`m just about bloody sick and tired of us falling to pieces after a good start to the season - snip - Who got our goals again? Oh that`s right,a Brit(a bloody good one, granted) and the Coach!!! Whats happening with the other forwards? People are moaning about Neilson (I think he`s garbage at the moment too) but if our forwards aren`t scoring, how are we gonna win? I think Simoes is a good player and I love to see him cream players into the boards, but where are his goals? Stevens,Blaz are both highly rated but neither are putting it in the back of the net. Why?? I`m quite unhappy with myself for feeling like this, but I`m getting to the stage where I`m past caring and thats not good! I went into this season saying that I wasn`t going to get my hopes up too much and that I was just going to enjoy the Hockey, but when I`m passionate about something,I can`t help but get my heart into it,and right now I`m back in that oh so familiar place during the season, where we have had one put over on us by them lot up the road. And it feels bloody horrible as usual I sympathise with your view entirely. I've followed Panthers since 82. I had a seat reservation in the old building and a season ticket since the first season in the new. This year I decided not to bother. So far I've saved myself £56, having only seen four out of 8 home games. I missed the big win over Basingstoke because I was away, that dismal midweek loss to Hull and both Sheffield games. On balance I feel somewhat vindicated. I've said it before and I think it's worth saying again, in our league the team revolves around your top six imports who must be quality and able to do the business - Goalie, two top line D, two centres, left and right wingers. So long as the rest work hard and do their jobs, you won't be far away. Of our top six, Lindsay doesn't convince me, Neilson has dropped way below what I expected since the continental cup. Krajicek is fine although apt to take too many penalties. We don't have any centres (again). Stevens is fine (as a winger). Neither Blaz nor Simoes with 4 goals between them in 17 games is doing the business on the other wing. Add to that the collapse of confidence since the continental cup, an essential ingredient in a winning team, and what you end up with is yet another season of woe. A team playing with confidence plays with a freedom and touch that the same group of players can only dream of when that confidence evaporates. Only winning games can restore the confidence and currently Panthers are in a vicious circle. No wins, no confidence, no confidence, no wins.

if we would have played like we did when we was 2-1 up we would of beat them easily.... sheffs ruled out goal did go in as i was sat right behind the net so that was a let off
---------- all we need is a win (whenever thats coming i dont know) then the lads will get back into things (i hope)

You can lose evry match for as far as I am concerned as long as we ARE trying.Something we did in the 80's. The difference between now and then is that we knew the well established team would most likely stuff. The bulk of their players were so much more experienced than ours. So long as the three imports you were allowed and your young lads bust a gut, it didn't seem to matter. It's different now, the expectations are higher. We are no longer the new kids on the block. So many have come along since those early days, Cardiff, Sheffield, London, Manchester, Belfast, all have appeared since and done what we have proved incapable of. Why?

I thought last night was quite a poor game. I thought we struggled due to a lack of numbers and you struggled due to a lack of confidence. I think the decision not to sign an out and out goal scorer is not helping your team at all and I think Tessier was the difference in the sides over both legs. At a risk of repeating myself I think that Simoes is a class act. 110% every shift, quick and never gives in. He might need to stop leading with the elbow though when he goes up against tougher players. I noticed a few times last night the hits he put in were 50/50 in terms of them being legal. Brilliant player though!!

anybody who is thinking about walkin away from Panthers an watching one of our many great sports teams in Nottingham, fine. go and watch the other teams in the top flight of its respective sport, oh wait a minute.... were going through a bad patch and im fed up of the doom and gloom on this site!!
i pay just as much as any of you to go watch and i aint no rich boy i can promise you, i really really hate the position were in, hate it with a passion!! but were a big club in the top flight of our sport and yes once again were falling short but this season i feel different to previous ones, theres a hell of alot of players on that ice hurting and maybe some who dont show it and a coach working his ass off to sort it out last season we had a in charge and a bunch of lazy players who couldnt care less. this season is the first i dont mind being patient and sticking by the team because i can see some genuine effort.

Steelers goal was washed out because Lindsay had it covered and it was knocked out, not because it didnt cross the line.

and thats the difference rob and as pete said when i started watching, other teams in the league either had better brits or imports so to we did well to keep up and fans were happy to be competitive, nowadays it is different as it is we who are the older hands and we definitely have the resources to compete and beat any other team in the league however results dont seem to show that advantage we have as a club, whereas pretty much every other club old or new, big or small have had success that has eluded panthers. Talk of turning things around and a lack of confidence is something that as a panthers fan i hear EVERY year. We also hear give them more time to gel/settle in/turn things around yet things NEVER change. We have a younger hungrier coach/assistant coach, a new team new announcer etc etc yet same old results and what did the paper say last week oh yes we are taking the cheap option, rather than bring in someone who can get us goals like mac we are temp playing ellis. Now i dont want to knock ellis and he worked his ass off last night and bagged a great goal but he isnt a sharpshooter and with the other forwards not scoring apart from clarky that more than anything is what we are desperate for. We seem to have had our failings (that we had pre continental cup) highlighted more than ever lately ie we have an average nettie, no powerplay at all and some dodgy defending its clear we need a big shakeup and if that means bringing in other players then so be it..dont dally DO IT QUICKLY to rescue what is turning into another failed season.

I think now is the time that not only the players need to regroup but the fans also. Ok things look bleak hey they are our team and we as fans should support them through thick and thin. We know certain players arnt cutting it as they themselves will know but the only way we are gonna turn it around is by our continued support.

Am i the only one who enjoyed last night and thought that we played quite well? We should of won that game as we were the better team for most of the night, the best i've seen us play since Belfast in my eyes....a great atmosphere i thought and i thought most of the team played with a great amount of effort and skill!
Ellies goal was fantastic, he kpet going and going and then rifled a great shot into the top corner....i'd like to see him play every game he leads from the front and has a great way of getting the puck of opposition players without checking, we nearly made it 3-1 but Lehamn pulled off a great save to deny us again.....and one more thing........can we keep the Danish guys ;D...legends!
