so here we are, 1 year on and you could still have the same argument about #13. He has more skills than some team's, but (for example last night), he really didn't look bothered. His penalty shot was awful, saved only by the fact that Gascon's was even worse. Can the team afford to carry Galbraith in the hope that he will turn it on in the big matches. Or, instead of cutting Gascon who you at least notice on most shifts, is it time to turn Jade loose. You're an idiot. Sorry, but you are. Galbraith is the best player on the team...simples.

I spent much of the game last night saying how well Galbraith did. Passing to the tape and has much more common in his head than the others as regards other things too, maybe we should build a team around him.He can stand in one spot for all I care (yes , he was lazy last term) and pass to guys IF they could be in 'on the ball' themselves at times.

How can you suggest getting rid of JADE, he is certainly one of our best players this season. He is showing passion towards the game, and is up there with Bruce who is one of our most passionate players. How many points does jade have this season so far, he is our top points scorer, and must now be close to 50 after last night. Thats like being a Man Utd fan and when Wayne rooney has an off day calling for him to be sacked, he is one of their best players. You need to get things in order ashfieldpanther and actually try and watch the same games as the other fans so obviously do. Nothing to say to the other comments i see!!!

Please sack Galbraith! It would be absolutley amazing for all the other Elite league clubs if you did! What a daft thread! I watched the Coventry v Notts game on Sky yesterday and for me Galbraith was one of the better players by a coutry mile, his passing is top drawer along with his vision! I'd be one happy Steeler (takes a lot this year) if you sacked him! Galbraith turned the Cov game for us (the home game) and we went on to win. Without him, we would have dropped points all over the place. The difference for me though is his ability to form part of the team. Last season his lazyness cost us every shift of every game because the teams defensive systems fell apart whilst he hung high trying to catch his breath, this season he is in position so even when he isnt lighting the game up, he is still not hurting the team

Sorry are you a steeler in disguise? lol no lets not lose Jade our highest point scorer and one of our best players this season ;D If anyone had to go for me it would be Gascon for a faceoff winning centre who also happens to be hard as nails and a 4 point a game averager (please santa please)

After a 4 point weekend with injurys and sickness and international call ups, why is it all some of us can do is look to who we can get rid of and slag the teamm off. Im sorry but i disagree with getting rid of Gascon, he is a good player with vision and sometimes amazing passing. I think you should give the team a break and get behind them rather that being against them all the time.

(i bet you are one of the ones that shout shoot when when the oppo pull the goalie and we don't even have the puck ) 2nd highest point scorer in the league, highest point scorer on the team, improved fitness and in attitude from last season as all his critics (me included) wanted yeah lets gas him.

well im sorry but all sporting teams no matter where they lie thrive to be better and better and fans should be no different, if they think they can improve the team in any area than so beit, yes a 4 point weekend but hardly achieved in style was it. and in gascon i feel this position can be improved upto, and doubt im on my own when i say that .

Please do not let this turn into another gas so and so thread. Starting to get a bit boring now. We are still in contention to win the league, challenge cup semi-finals and then we've got the playoffs at the end of the year too. Why fix something that isn't broken?

Wasnt sure if this was actually a joke thread, but now it appears not, jade for me has been brilliant, the thought to gas him is so stupid. When he is on form he can pick out anyone, and his assists speak for that, plus he's scored some cracking goals, including a belter against steelers. He'll do for me

Gas Jade...............hahahahaha absolute madness. The guy is our best player, top three in the league,if we gassed him there would be seven other elite teams who wanted to sign him.
The only player who should get cut is Gascon, too lightweight, crap at faceoffs and frightened of his own shadow!

yes a 4 point weekend but hardly achieved in style was it. How can you comment on two games that you didn't attend? In Whitley Bay, we dug deep and played well on a nasty, tight rink. Something that we haven't been used to, along with losing Bruce, Mann, Bergin, Dalgleish and the Brits that were on GB duty! As with Jade, I think that he is 100% better this season, I can't see why we should gas him!

Thats already happened at the start of the season their was settled lines we were winning games .. so the coach started juggling them around !! what a genius But teams would have sussed us out anyway playing the same every game so lines would have had to be changed at some people anyway. Sometimes the change is for the better, sometimes for the worst. We all have to lie with it if it doesn't go in our favour.

Yes Jade was abit poor last season but over the break he lost all that weight and has improved so much, i cant believe you put something like this because he missed a penalty shot also he was poorly so give him the break he deserves and get real

yes a 4 point weekend but hardly achieved in style was it. How can you comment on two games that you didn't attend? well , lets see, a one goal win over a team who ve been getting tonked by all and sundry recently and a penalty shots win over the league basement club...! doesn t take a rocket scientist does it?
