Poor defending for first two periods, net minder would want three back,( how many times do we say that), D Amour beaten by Campbell, Laroque, what a joke big reputation thats about all, utterly chicken, of any rough stuff. Yes good 3rd period, but overall not good enough.

Looking at some of the other forums, it seems Blaze fans say we played pretty well esp. in the 3rd period. So perhaps it isn't the end of the world as we know it and it was just one of those nights. KSP didn't have one of his best games and he didn't look like the same guy as last night at all.

If we are going for comparisons we win a game well, 6 Pages, lose by a narrow margin 8 pages, we are good at criticism not so good on praise though! Bit of an unfair comparison. This thread had matched last night's before the game tonight had ended. The reason, substantially more people following the game on here compared to last night when many more would actually be at the game.

Just to add, it's pretty obvious that Bergin has much more than just a minor injury.

If Bergin isn't deregistered to get fit, he has to go, When he's fit one hell of a player, still gives his all, unfortunatley nor good enough if we want to win the league.

As a neutral i thought i would bore you all with my thoughts on the game ;D
KSP didnt have a bad game but the D leave him high and dry to often. D'amour V Campbell was a couple of punches and a bit of hugging, slight win to Campbell but only slight.
You have a big squad as in big guys and as Coventry were missing a couple of D it was the idea opportunity to throw some big checks and tire them out for the 3rd...nothing !! Not sure if Bergin is carrying an injury but he seemed out of sorts tonight.
I'm not sure how many PP's the Panthers had in the 3rd but the set ups were awful...it would have been quicker to send Telegrams than passing tonight. Certain players seems to be scared to have a shot on goal.
Overall, for me tonight the Blaze just wanted it more than the Panthers and Panthers should have used their size more

Thought we played well tonight just didn't get the bounces in front of their net and gave away the puck in our defensive zone which the Blaze made us pay for. We could quite easily have won this game on another night and for a Blaze fan to come on here and call Laroque a chicken is unbelievable, Robinson plays for you lot and he is the one who checks from behind and skates away from fights. FAG.

I wondered why the Panthers fans were chanting ''Chicken'' whenever Robinson was on the ice.......TBH after the 10th/11th time it got very boring.

Well magic man, if your refering to me, I support the Panthers, if you are a magician, would you please wave your wand over Laroque and give us the player we were told he was, hard hitting, no nonsense, and clears the crease, as I see it we've got the wrong geezer.

I think the problem is defensively more than just KSP. OK Hirsch is the better netminder but we should have more money to spend on the defence to protect him. At the moment, I think we have the wrong balance. Corey, Dom and Mario are all pretty similar and we get caught without a speedy defenceman who can read the play and cut things out. I.E Toneys. first time we have seen Mario Larocque...He's a big boy.....but god he's slow.... ..you did seem to miss Toneys IMHO I agree with yoy Spoonerdude, I only noticed that Larocque was on the ice when I happenedf to catch his name on the back of his shirt. Can any Panthers fans tell me what he brings to your side because I couldn't see anything special about him. The Panthers did play well on the third period and when they got within one goal, I thought they may snatch it. However, their ill discipline showed again and they took a penalty again towards the end which cost them the goal. Obviously Cory is not doing anything to address this. The lack of discipline was evident when Meyers got a 10 minute misconduct for shouting his mouth off.

Four players go for the puck with just over one minute to go one gets called for slashing, suprise, suprise, its an away player, it could have been any one from four, thus stopping us pulling our netminder, thanks Thompson, another homer.

Sorry JV for calling you a Blaze fan thats the way I interpreted your post but to say Laroque is a chicken who doesn't hit come on. Ask Benedict (if hes come down yet) or Chambers (if he can see straight) if he can hit, apparently the latter needed to be checked out by a doctor last night after the game. Yes he isn't dropping the gloves but imo he is doing the basics very well.

We see two very different players.

The way I see it is if I was an opposition forward on the boards and I had the choice of having Toneys or Laroque skating towards me I know which one I'd choose.

If you were refering to the charging call, Chambers carried on playing, so wasn't that badly hurt. One thing that I've never understood, and no disrespect too you, how do you know what happens in the Blaze camp?

A friend of mines dad is a steward at the arena and he told me a doctor was called to check Chambers out. Might not be true, might not relate to the said charging incident but got no reason to disbelieve my friend.

Well he made a quick recovery, made our defenders look stupid with two goals.

Too be honest the Panthers played very very well tonight, Always looked dangerous on attack. In my opinion what cost you tonight was some poor goaltending and a lack of discipline.
KSP just looks out of his depth everytime I have seen him (Granted I wasnt there last night) He doesnt seem to know where his goal is as Fulghum took a shot and KSP left it, it just went wide and KSP didnt seem to think it was anywhere near the goal until he looked round after the shot. He reminds me a little bit of Perras. Could look good if he is playing well and confident, but always suspect and error prone.
The amount of silly penalties also. Meyers for mouthing off was just poor and no way for the captain to lead his team when they are up against it.
Otherwise the Panthers looked very good and will be there abouts come the end of the season, but to win it I get the feeling that KSP needs replacing. Just my opinion

FAG. why would robinson fight when the blaze were down to 4 defenceman as it is? maybe this kind of thinking is why the blaze win championships and nottingham don't. as for the game the panthers played alright. finishing was poor, and the d is too slow, russ cowley could barely skate by the second period but he was still making d'armor/neilsson etc look like trees, and as for kevin st pierre, the less said the better. coventry were there for the taking tonight and the panthers didn't take advantage.

I thought the timing for d'amour to fight campbell was all wrong. We were 1 nil up and playing great. After he went off for his 5 they score twice.. So we lose a D man to there under used bench warmer... Wasn't a good trade in my eyes.

one thing that was commented upon during the period break amongst the blaze fans where i sat was we all though that KSP seems to be struggling with his catching...and the concensus was he may have injured himself or was carrying an injury.. several times he caught something only to either drop it or fumble it. how strange you comment on last nights game but not after saturdays
