Word from the Odyssey is a full bench clearance. Minard and Lehman both out - back ups now in. Skiehar tried it on with Clouthier and as a result has had his face re-arranged. Apparently, guys going off the ice at the end of the first. All hell broke loose and players returned to the ice from the tunnel. Boniface in charge

Clouthier has been given a match penalty - will he play next weekend or does he miss a league game?

In the British game when we change our sports rules yearly. We should have to class every game as one to carry on penalties (ie, miss the next game be it league or Cup)....so if Sheffield play us next in Cup he should miss it by rights.

;D Clouthier misses fridays game1!!!!! I don't think it's going to make that much of a difference. He's injured and after the fight last night I didn't notice him icing much at all.

The word from Belfast is that Clouthier made a mess of Skiehar and Ruff had to step in to save him - not heard anything more though

So does anyone know what sparked this all off? - I mean... bench clearances don't tend to happen for no reason... surely someone was feeling more than a tad aggrieved about something?

Apparently Minard slashed Cloutier as he left the ice at the end of the first period. Cloutier responded and it all went from there.
