Kirk and Shudra don't really count as they're 'apprentices' so they will get very little game time if any at all. They're practically on 21 players but have enough for 4 lines. ... And sarich currently is only signed up for the chl.

It would be nice, if anyone has the time, to draw up a table for each team, to see at a glance where everyone is at the moment with regard to: no of brits, no of EU imports, no of non-EU imports. Any volunteers? ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

27th suits me. Boxing day doesn't suit me. If Panthers play boxing day I simply don't go. Not the end of the world to prioritize my time where I want to spend it. Clearly 7200 people who attend on the 27th find that a satisfactory date. Iginla, what do you do to constructively change any of the areas you constantly are critical about on here? You talk about fan apathy, what do you actually do to try and make a difference ... Or are you just as apathetic/accepting as the majority when it comes to doing something practical/positive/productive? I don't disagree with much of what you say, but I don't think banging the same drum on here is making the slightest bit of difference ... You need another plan of attack.

www.braeheadclan.com/news/2609/signed-cowick-is-the-latest-clan-member.html#.V3-YdY-cHIUBraehead Clan are delighted to announce the signing of Canadian left winger Corey Cowick for the 2016/17 season. The 27-year-old arrives from the Florida Everblades in the ECHL and has played in the AHL with Binghamton Senators and Springfield Falcons. And Clan’s head coach Ryan Finnerty says he was pleased to finally get the deal for Cowick over the line. “Corey’s name was high on our list early. We even though at one point he was unattainable,” revealed Finnerty. “We were able to persist with his agent which involved some long nights and lengthy phone calls and messages, but we eventually arrived at a deal and we’re delighted to have him. “We’ve been looking for some size - a power forward kinda guy and plays a powerful game as he gets to the net. “He maybe hasn’t got the numbers he would like, but if you look at his output in the American league, he’s scored 15,16 goals a season. “We want to give him that opportunity. We like that he can play a power game and that he’s not afraid to get in the mix and play in the hard areas. “We think if we can surround him with the type of players we want to, we’ll see that offence he had in the AHL and then some.” Cowick played 71 times for the Everblades last year, scoring 14 goals and assisting in a further 12 and becomes the 13th signing of the summer. He’ll wear the #27 jersey and joins Alex Leavitt, Gary Russell, Scott Aarssen, Cody Carlson, Zach Sullivan, Callum Boyd, Matt Haywood, Matt Keith, Bari McKenzie, Craig Peacock, Scott Pitt and Daniel Åhsberg on the roster.

I don't rate him particularly highly, but I would rather him than a young back up. He is going to have to play a game or games at some stage of the season and at least Greener has proved he can win a game for us. We will need a new back up when Greener retires, but let somebody else train that kid,I don't want my current team weakened because we've chosen to look at the future now. That may seem harsh, but when we need one there will be another young Green available from somewhere. As the quote goes......you do what you need to do to win ! To be fair to the younger goalie, don't think Brad Day did particularly badly for Sheffield last season. He did extremely well ... But if woolhouse had not retired through injury I bet wooly would have still been your back up.

Waste of time, where are the goals coming from, not experienced enough, stats are not any good, wrong type of player, wrong coloured hair, not what we need. I've just saved you reading the rest of this thread. Cheers shorty. ... Though I doubt you have covered every negative aspect in the pipeline.

You can have as many coaches as you like however, if the best one is not very good What is the likely outcome? Would I swap Corey Neilson for any other coach in the EIHL - Personally, No I would not.

Good signing for Braehead, bit of a bodge by Belfast letting him get away though I would think? Walser seemed very unhappy with certain players last season, making threats to cut on a number of occasions, eventually backing down suggesting it wasn't that easy ... inferred to me it was likely a Brit problem. Was expecting it to be Shields though if I'm honest.
