Panthers pre-match Powerplay is back on BBC Radio Nottingham this Friday (27th October). We'll be joined in the studio by Panthers forward Ryan Shmyr and we'll look back on the last few days and ahead to the big weekend. There's a trip down Memory Lane to a classic old Panthers against Steelers encounter and we'll hear from the Sheffield camp with coach Dave Matsos. Former Panther Joel Poirier will give a Coventry prespective and also explain what he's up to now he's hung up his skates. Panthers pre-match Powerplay from 6.30 on 103.8 & 95.5FM, 1584AM, Digital Radio and at www.bbc.co.uk/nottingham

I have to say - it was very pleasing to hear from a member of the other lot's organisation who wasn't trying to level as many digs at the Panthers as he possibly could during his interview. A good piece from Dave Matsos.

I thought Ryan sounded clued up and came across well. It turns out that he`s fought Cloth-ears before! I didn`t know that,I think it`ll be an interesting encounter, that`s for sure. Bring it on! A good show by the way

A good show by the way Ohh what did he say?? Not a lot really, but just mentioned that he`d fought him back in N.A and that if B.C wanted to "go" Ryan would be a willing combatant Also that instigating a fight in this league is harder with the new rules. Before you could cross check a guy to "force his hand"so to speak, but now he has to be sure that it`s "game on"before he does anything. He just seemed to have a good attitude about being here and kept saying that it`s down to the team to keep working hard to get the results.
