i think lindsy man of the match Steve Simoes actually. 3 PP and 2 4on4 goals for Rouen says something, quite what I'm not sure?

Unlucky. And that is meant as it sounds, when flying the flag for our country you have my support. (Just ) TBH this is the one I thought you had most chance in, however 2 more to go - chins up. Good luck in the next.

5on 5 it sounds as if we played pretty well and out played them at times, but thats going on biased commentary

Hello from france, the team played very well and was giving 100% but Rouen were a very good side.
We were out played at times but we showed some positive signs.
The crowd is amazing. everyone is getting on very well on all teams and we was singing right to the end.
Will post more later.

The French team were very fast and moved the puck very well. The first period saw us short handed a lot and the ref could have been a bit more lenient on us, or called more on Rouen. 3-0 down after the first and we were never going to come back. The ref seemed to put his whistle in his pocket more for the next two periods. Their fourth goal was a belter and the Rouen player really wound up before releasing a one timer that nearly burst the net. Corey and Krackerjack both scored good goals but we were forever being caught on the break.
Calle didnt play in the third period and Stevens didnt seem to be there at the end of the game. A good game from the Rouen netminder as well, although there were a couple of times I dont think he knew where the puck was.
Ice time for the entire bench though, which can only be a good thing for the youngsters.
Today will be tough as Salzburg looked good against the Danes yesterday.

The crowd is amazing. everyone is getting on very well on all teams and we was singing right to the end. Will post more later. au rèviour Think I and the fans I was talking to during and afterwards were at a different game to PGFI and the commentators then! The ref was dreadful and certainly appeared biased. He called so little that he should have against Rouen and so much that he shouldn't against us. On two separate occasions Evan got dinged quite hard on his mask but the ref didn't make any attempt to stop play. For the first one even the Rouen players stopped for afew seconds expecting the whistle. Having said all that, the team were pretty dire as well. No idea what's happened to them. Maybe they got demoralised by the reffing but that's not very professional. They just couldn't seem to make anything happen. The passing was dreadful and they were caught on the hop so many times I lost count. It was like watching last years Panthers rather than the TEAM that we've been enjoying over the last few weeks. The team spirit just didn't seem to be there yesterday and a couple of players in particular could be singled out for selfish play. It really wasn't enjoyable to watch! The third looked much better but it really was too little, too late by then. Evan would have been MOM but I guess you can't give the award to a netminder when we let 6 in. Simoes was definitely the best outskater. Hopefully they'll get their spark back this afternoon. twix
