Have just visited Dave. I am pleased to say he was a lot better than I thought he'd be. There was recognition, he looked a decent colour and tried to smile when I told him Man City had drawn at Liverpool on Sunday! He was able to open both eyes and Sue said there had been some intelligible speech earlier. He has had an MRI scan and Heart monitoring today, and there is a possibility that he may be fit to move to Peterborough next week, which will make life easier for Sue. She is geatly encouraged by the improvement she has seen, although it is going to be a long haul. Sue is very, very grateful for all of the messages of support on this and other sites. Let's hope the improvement continues.
Great to hear there's improvement, thanks Rumpole. Be sure to give Dave my very best next time you see him.

Great news on the improvement in Dave's condition... let's hope that this is only a small portion of what's to come.
Get well soon, Dave...

Go on Dave, you keep on fighting to get better. I know it can be really frustrating, not being able to do things you once found easy to do, but I also know your a fighter. Stick with it and you'll be up and around in no time. Look forward to seeing you soon. PHIL (Walter)
The Steelers always have a good time........P*$$ES me off.[br][br]
Just in case anyone wants to know, there will be a card on the Supporters Club counter for all fans to sign that wish to pass on their best to Dave. Please come to the counter on Saturday if you would like to sign it.
Saw Dave again last night and have spoken to Sue this morning. The improvement continues. He was pretty tired last night - Sue tells me the physios were working him quite a lot yesterday. He has managed to take some food via his mouth rather than the tube - albeit pureed, and showed a lot of interest when the food trolley came round!! Although tired he looked more alert than on Wednesday, and had a bit more movement. His speech is still poor, and he is clearly frustrated with that. Sue finds out later today what the MRI scan showed, so fingers crossed.
