Simular sort of drivel was spouted in the Sheffield Stir when we played them last week, about how Clout head was going to take on Rizk...... quite pathetic really if thats how they want to sell tickets, close up shop and start a WWE league

But Darling isn't the best skater, and as Hewitt said he was MUCH more effective in the past.

Dion will be fine. Doubt Hewitt will be though. lol
Despite us making Cardiff look little more that average last week, i think they will be challenging this season.....they are doing well now and havent played any home games yet......

I'm sorry but that is nothing short of embarrassing.
Now I'm not someone who comes here every time the Steelers do anything to pass comment, I'm even found defending things (free ticket giveaway for example) but Hewitt should be ashamed of himself as should the Steelers.
What has Darling got to do with Sheffield? What has the Cardiff media got to do with Sheffield? They should get on with putting their own house in order rather than spouting about others...comment on the team they are facing, fine, but criticise an individual on another team? Not fine.
The real shame of it is they only do it because he's a former Steeler...if the Panthers were to do the same to Scott Ricci when we play Shuff I'd be fuming. Somehow though I think we will have more class.
I think Hewitt could just have found himself a dancing partner for the weekend and his initials aren't DD.

And I don't think Darling looked too bad on Saturday. Looked to me like he just got on with the job - nothing brilliant, nothing terrible... just workmanlike.

I doubt we will spend much time bothering with the little twerp to be honest, Neil Francis danced with him last year and lets just say Hewitt wont be boasting a win. What hewit has done though is given Dion's pre match pep talk a little more substunce, if i were Ed i would also put this column up in the dressing room to show the guys so they are pumped up for the game.

Shaggy you are not that naive as to not understand that any news is good news in selling a product, inless you are named Gerald Ratner. So come off the engineered indignation, every club tries to sell its product. Every club hypes the "alleged" rivalry. But I do agree with you on one issue. Nottingham are of the radar as far as Steelers supporters are concerned. Far more entertaining teams to play against.

Can't the Echo get done for copying almost word for word what was in the star?? Perhaps Bob Phillips owns them both as well as the Devils and the Steelers

Can't the Echo get done for copying almost word for word what was in the star?? Why was it the Echo that copied the star? The echo would have been released on the same day.

Can't the Echo get done for copying almost word for word what was in the star?? That could be interesting... given that The Stir has eledgedly done its fair share of plaigarism in the past... hmm, be careful what you say. I'd like to remind readers of the following from the forum rules:

It could just be that a company owns both papers, much like Northcliffe Newspapapers Group Ltd own the Nottingham Evening Post and the Derby Evening Telegraph (amongst a lot of others titles).

I still dont see why it was the Echo that copied the Star's stories could just have easily been the other way around.

*shrug* or the article in each paper closely matches a Steelers press release. Who knows? Or cares?

*shrug* or the article in each paper closely matches a Steelers press release. Which they do as it happens. So no day in court for the legal eagles but one happy press office up in Sheffield. ;D
