Anyone planning on making the trip to Hull, a couple of heads up pointers........
When your on the A 63 just past the turn off for Brough, there is a set of traffic lights, they are well sign posted, but there is a lot of raod works around there, as they are modifying the road layout there.
There is a 40mph spped zone there, and the police are nearly always there on the weekend.
Also as your coming into Hull, and you pass the B+Q and the fish docks, you will come to a flyover near Smith and Nephews, this too is a 40mph zone and a favourite with the police, at all hours.
Also the Arena Bar is open from 1pm and you can stay in there as long as ou hav a ticket, and you wont be asked to leave when the skating sesion is finished.
Or you could go to the Wittington and Cat across the road.
FAce off at 6pm

Definitely coming up for this one, Scoobs.... welcome you guys to the EIHL.
Definitely the best bar in the EIHL now, especially since it's now non-smoking.... top idea! ;D

Do you need to buy tickets in advance? I'm not sure how many the rink holds or what average crowds they get.
I would assume there would be a lot of Panthers fans travelling to this one.

And Hull is one of the few rinks left with a proper cafeteria...
I was up on Sunday for a game. I didn't see any cameras for the roadworks, although all the traffic was doing 40 anyways. However, the police guy was there at the end of the A63, but everytime I've seen him, he's looking at the traffic from Hull via the flyover. Going to the rink, its easier to turn off before the flyover, go to the roundabout, take the last exit (almost coming back on yourself, then turn the first left). Its so much quicker than going the flyover. Btw... It took me about an hour and a half via the A1 on Sunday morning.
Chicitos.... love it!! Would recommend it any day! The Whittington is well nice too, we go there after all our games.
Have fun!!

wouldnt worry about ordering tickets before the match, weve been averaging about 800-850 per match the capacity is about 1700,
For those who havent been before the away block is diagonally opposite you as you come through the foyer, block E, ther is a bar next to you that sells beer in plastic glasses, or you could go to the main bair upstsairs where you can also wathc the game.
Dunno if Chiquitoes still does the buffet though

Surely everyone except those travelling with the SC will be buying their tickets from the box office at Hull and that's where the SC will have ordered theirs from anyway? Just away for a ticket int he away section.

It's unreserved seating in Hull, but the away block is the block in the far left corner.
