As the chant went over the weekend... "David Clarke - Number One Brit!"
It's early days, of course.... but Clarkie is currently the top goalscorer in the league with 7 goals... and is now the only player in the entire league to score at least one goal in every game so far. Not bad, eh?
It's nice to see Captain Clarkie back up to full form... forget last season, this is the REAL David Clarke! ;D

thing is MWB didn't know how to use his brits properly, Clarke was playing injured for a fair amount of last season, also Clarke didn't have the right line mates.

Jeesh thats a lot of excuses in one go lol. I agree tho no brit did well under MWB and its difficult to recover from injury. The season before was the same tho which is my concern. Im sure he will continue being the star this season tho if he stays fit and keeps working hard under Elly, even when he goes thro bad phases hes on a good line which will carry him if he needs it

The season before was the same? - not sure how you work that one out... Last season - Clarkie injured (played 44 games) and working for MWB = 13+13 Previous season - Clarkie not injured (played 60 games) working for Paul Adey = 31+30 Bit of a difference, I'd say...

I meant the start to the season, not the overall season. Started strong and faded...
Has he won player of the month for the first month of the season for the previous 2season?

As the chant went over the weekend... "David Clarke - Number One Brit!" I'm sure that makes the rest of the brits feel great!

Stuff 'em. If he's played better than the rest, then he deserves it! It should be a season long award, it'll make the rest of 'em try even harder!
