There has been a few comments here and there about the value of our recent Traini9ng Camp.
However within the last few days I have seen Panthers, Steelers, Stingrays, and Blaze all play.
Three aspects stand out for me:
1. Panthers are the fittest of the teams. The Bees game was the 4th game in 5 days, and Panthers kept the tempo up right until the end.
2. Panthers have much the better 'team' ethic, Shuff in particular played like a bunch of individuals.
3.(The most important one in my mind), Panthers have embraced and adapted well to the ZT rules
There may have been some cyinicism and fun poked at us by others around the country by the fact the the last 2 games of the training camp were not completed, but its clear that the 6-7 periods of competatitive hockey we had, plus the training sessions have reaped benefits.
Regards
HL

The Panthers don't do league titles. Not even Carlsberg can manage that!

Ever the optomistic type eh spooks? Jeeze we are a nation of moaners and doubters, have alittle faith. (dont give me the ive had faith every season for donkeys years story.) it never hurts to have faith in a team, alittle faith can move mountains (biblical i think) On the training camp, IMO best thing this club has done in years. Great to see the team gelling, fit and raring to go.

a little faith can move mountains (biblical i think) Correct Matthew 17:20 He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Here endeth todays lesson

The first three "matches" with zero tollerance where officated by refs and linesmen who are used to the system. Most of the other games where teams have struggled with ZT has been conducted by officials who are new to the context, hence the teams will have had more penalties given by refs not being completely comfortable with the rules yet. Whilst we had relatively few at Bracknell, the real test will come in the first competitve games with our own officials.
Does anyone know if Tottman will be a ref this year, and also given the fact that there are more teams, if we have any new officials this season?

I think Tottman did a damn sight better of implimenting ZT than carson did for Hull/Shuff on saturday.
I think it would have been much more valuable if we would have played all our games! LoL! but I think its given everyone better measure of each other and you can see some good link ups.

Imo the only problem having the training camp was; Mopes getting injured. otherwise it was a really good idea. Not only did it help to get the team fit, but it gave them all the chance to get to know each other off the ice as well. Surely if players get on socially they will play as a team more,
